The breakdown for the method of force reported for the 2nd quarter of 2017 is: 41% no weapon used (may include holds, strikes, pressure points, etc.); 6% firearm drawn; 19% Medical Direction Weaponless (force used at the direction of a medical professional to control a resistive patient for medical purposes); 22% Taser Drawn; 6% Taser Deployed; 6% Use/Draw of Baton or Impact Weapons (includes eXact Impact and Super Sock Less Lethal Rounds).
The breakdown for the time of day in which use-of-force incidents were reported for the 2nd quarter of 2017 is: 3% between 6 am and noon; 16% between noon and 6pm; 34% between 6PM-Midnight; and 47% between Midnight and 6am.
