Football Returns to Camp Randall — Plan Ahead

IMG_0949It’s that time of year — Badger Football returns to Camp Randall Stadium! The UW-Madison Police Department is excited about another successful, safe year.

As close to 100,000 people pack downtown Madison to cheer on the Badgers, we’d like to remind a fans of a few important things to help make their experience at game day a positive one.

First, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination. In addition to Badger game day traffic in cars and on foot, thousands are in Madison this weekend for Ironman Wisconsin, which takes place on Sunday. There will be delays.

The following items are NOT allowed inside Camp Randall Stadium, and there are no storage facilities available to hold these restricted items during the game:

  • Bags larger than 8.5″x11″ (diaper bags WITH a child are permitted) — all bags will be searched
  • Food, beverages, or containers
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Flags, banners, signs, inflatables, and noisemakers
  • Laser pointers, weapons, or any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate

*Note – items related to a medical condition are allowed

Gates open an hour and a half before kick-off (suites open two hours before kick-off) — give yourself plenty of time to get to your seats.  Please enter the stadium using the gate number that’s printed on your ticket.

Thanks for continuing to make Camp Randall Stadium and Badger game day a safe and positive experience for everyone.

Go Badgers!
