9:25 pm, Found Property, Engineering Research Building. Janitorial staff found a smartphone on the ground in front of a UW bus stop on N Randall and W Dayton. Handed phone to UWPD. Attempted to identify the owner of the smart phone. No identifiable features. Unable to locate owner on cameras. Placed into evidence for safekeeping.
