3:12 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, State Street/LaBamba. Requested by City of Madison PD for K9 sniff of vehicle. Upon arrival, a large crowd had gathered in close proximity to the vehicle and was confrontational with officers on scene. Decision made with MPD to disengage from situation and attempt a traffic stop of the vehicle at another location if driven away from area. No K9 deployment.
2:16 pm, Eluding, Charter & Dayton Streets. Attempted traffic stop on suspect of gold sport bike with no plates. Motorcycle fled, last seen West bound on W Dayton. Reasons for stop: speed, wheelies, no plates. Did NOT pursue.
2:26 pm, Theft/Larceny, Lot 91. Person reported that a large sum of money was stolen from the center console of their vehicle.
4:45 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 63E. Contacted person in reference to vehicle crash.
10:00 pm, Found Property, UWPD 1429 Monroe Street. Attempted to contact person by phone as the suspected owner of a missing iPad found at the Picnic Point bike rack.
12:15 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W Gorham & N Bassett Streets. Cited/Arrested/Released to responsible party suspect for OWI 2nd, PAC Violation 1st, Operating w/o License, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street (reason for stop).
