Assault on Randall Avenue, Near UW Campus

On Friday, March 11, at approximately 11:00 p.m., two UW-Madison students attempted to intervene in an apparent incident of intimate partner violence outside 45 N. Randall Avenue. The man observed being violent entered the building, grabbed a knife, returned outside and cut the hand of one of the students intervening multiple times. The student that was cut received medical attention at the UW-Madison Police Department.
This crime was reported to the City of Madison Police Department at that time, which is currently investigating the case. Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact Madison Police at (608) 255-2345.
Students are reminded, as a general safety rule, to be aware of your surroundings at all times, especially at night.
