UW-Madison Student Victim of Battery; UWPD Investigating

On Saturday, December 21 at approximately 2:15 A.M., a 23-year-old male UW-Madison student was a victim of a battery.
The victim was walking with a group in the 300 block of N. Frances Street when a suspect from another group punched him without warning. The victim required medical treatment including stiches as a result of the assault.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5’8”, 180 lbs., short dark hair, with a thin outline style beard, and last seen wearing a white jacket with a horizontal blue stripe and yellow stripe with grey shoulders and sleeves, dark pants, and white athletic shoes. The suspect fled into a nearby parking ramp. Officers conducted a thorough search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
