Man Arrested Following Early Morning Sexual Assault in Residence Hall

The UW-Madison Police Department has arrested a 17-year-old man following a sexual assault in a residence hall early Friday morning.

On Friday, April 15, 2022 at approximately 3:00 a.m., UWPD officers responded to a southeast residence hall for a report of a sexual assault. The victim told investigators that she was sleeping and woke up to the suspect assaulting her. The victim and suspect are acquaintances.

The suspect, Riley Jensen, 17, of Green Bay was arrested on tentative charges of second-degree sexual assault. He was booked in to the Dane County Jail Friday afternoon. Jensen was visiting another resident at the time of the assault and is not affiliated with UW-Madison.
