Two Arrested Following Traffic Stop, Stolen Vehicle and Firearms Recovered

On Saturday, July 2, 2022 at around 11:30 p.m., a UWPD officer conducted a traffic stop at North Breese Terrace and University Avenue for a vehicle driving with no lights. During the stop, the officer determined the vehicle was stolen. After a search of the vehicle, the officer located a stolen firearm with multiple high capacity magazines in the back seat.

The driver, Virena Ousley, 31, Madison, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, possession of oxycodone, obstructing, and a parole warrant. A passenger, Major Lee Ousley, 33, Milwaukee, was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, concealing a stolen firearm, and multiple active warrants.

Two additional passengers in the vehicle were released without incident.
