UWPD Investigates Strong-Arm Robbery
- Incident type: Robbery
- Location/address: Lot 46 - Lake Street and Johnson Street
On Monday, March 14 at approximately 8:50 p.m., a male was with five others on State Street near the State Capitol. The male victim had fallen off his skateboard, when the group of five offered him a ride to the hospital for medical treatment. They walked the victim to Lot 46 – the parking ramp at Lake Street and Johnson Street. Once inside the parking ramp, the group assaulted the victim, injuring him. The suspects stole the victim’s money, phone, and wallet. It appears the victim and at least one of the suspects are known to each other, and the attack was not random.
The robbery was reported to UWPD this morning, March 15. At this time, UWPD has not received enough information to provide detailed descriptions of the five suspects.
The UW-Madison Police Department is currently investigating this case. Anyone with information is urged to contact UWPD at (608) 264-2677.
