UPDATE: Arrest Made in UW-Madison Arboretum Weapons Violation Incident

During the course of the investigation into the Weapons Violation in the UW-Madison Arboretum, UWPD investigators identified the suspect as 24 year old Lue Lee of Sun Prairie.  With the assistance of the Sun Prairie Police Department, Lee was arrested without incident in Sun Prairie.

Through additional interviews with the victim and statements obtained from involved parties, it was determined that while the handgun was not pointed directly at the victim and the trigger was not actually pulled, the handgun was displayed in the direction of the victim after a road rage incident.

Lee was booked into the Dane County Jail on a tentative charge of Disorderly Conduct.  Since a handgun was involved in the crime, a “Use of a Dangerous Weapon” enhancer was added to the charge.
