Dispatcher

Law Enforcement Dispatchers (LED) staff the 24/7 operation of the UW-Madison Police Department Communications Center. LEDs are formally trained to receive and evaluate information, largely via phone, related to public safety and law enforcement on or near campus. They must then dependably communicate this information to other staff responding to a variety of calls ranging from relatively minor (i.e. building access issues) to more serious emergencies.

In any case, LEDs are relied upon to be professional and effective communicators in ensuring any situation is ultimately resolved to the benefit of our campus community.
