- 11:50 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transporting patient to local hospital experiencing medical emergency.
- 12:00 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person who confirmed staff had inadvertently set off door alarm.
- 5:17 pm, Harassment, Location Redacted. Person called to file report on another person being loud, inappropriate and disruptive behavior.
- 10:22 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Shorewood Blvd. Contacted SHPD after their squad car damaged itself enroute to back up Capitol Police.
- 2:19 am, Operating While Intoxicated, N. Randall Ave. & Dayton St. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party person for OWI 1st, PAC 1st, Operator violate red light and Exceeding speed zones.
Daily Blotter for August 15th 2024
- 12:12 pm, Theft/Larceny, Lot 75. UPDATE: Additional video review, collaboration with Wisconsin Department of Corrections (Sex Offender Registry), and Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, assisted in identifying the suspect.
- 1:42 am, Operating While Intoxicated, McKay Center Lot. UPDATE: Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for OWI 1st and felony bail jumping.
- 4:33 pm, Information, Bascom Hall. Caller reporting a person was coming to offices asking for staff then walking away if staff member present. Subject refused to speak with staff after asking for them and just walked away.
- 4:44 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Midvale Blvd. Assisted MPD with a drone deployment regarding a missing & endangered person .
- 5:55 pm, Other, Local Hospital. Request For Assistance - Report number pulled in error.
- 7:16 pm, Theft/Larceny, Lot 141. Person reported a theft of two credit cards and money from vehicle.
- 12:32 am, Other, Dayton & Brooks Streets. Traffic Stop - Cited person for OWL due to plate expiration, verbally warned for improper left turn and possession of marijuana.
- 12:35 am, Theft/Larceny, East Campus Mall & State Street. Contacted person who was found unconscious by UWPD Security near the Chazen.

- 6:07 am, Disorderly Conduct, Local Hospital. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Disorderly Conduct 947.01(1) while receiving care at a local hospital.
- 7:50 am, Damage to Property, Lot 83. Contacted person who reported two puncture holes, apparently from a knife, in front left tire sidewall.
- 12:21 pm, Other, Pyle Center. Suspicious Package - Contacted person in their office at the Pyle Center after receiving a "voodoo doll" in the mail with no other information.
- 12:35 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person who reported theft of bicycle from bike racks on south side of building along Park St between 930a-1235p.
- 12:54 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person who reported their Gray Trek Hybrid bike stolen from the Landon St bike rack near next to the bus stop at N Park St. Meyer thought he locked his bike around 09:30.
- 4:55 pm, Other, Lot 5. 911 Disconnect - Contacted person who reported they pulled out of Lot 5 on to south bound N Park St and person approached their vehicle shouting profanities.
- 9:14 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Mineral Point & Westfield. Drone Deployment - Assisted MPD with a drone deployment regarding a crash w/injuries & fleeing occupants.
- 1:42 am, Operating While Intoxicated, McKay Lot. No disposition at time of briefing release.
Daily Blotter for August 13th 2024
- 8:23 am, Graffiti, Chamberlin Hall. Contacted person after they found graffiti on the south wall in the SE corner of room 3335.
- 12:42 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Eagle Heights. Contacted person who struck another vehicle and left the scene with other persons in the vehicle. Person who left the scene will be issued citations for OAR, leaving scene of an accident and verbally warned for operating without insurance, operating a vehicle with faulty brakes, and unregistered vehicle.
- 2:44 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted FBI with phone data extraction.
- 11:17 pm, Warrant Served, State Street. Contacted person needing medical assistance found to have an outstanding DOC warrant. Transported to Dane County Jail after medical clearance without incident.
- 12:44 am, Drug Violation, Memorial Library. Contacted/Verbally warned person for Camping and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after observing them sleeping - using a backpack as a pillow - and with a "weed pipe" in plain view.
- 1:32 am, Other, Johnson St. & Wisconsin Ave. Stopped person for failure to obey red light and deviation from designated lane. Cited for OAR and failure to install IID, written warning issued for red light and lane deviation.

- 5:04 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Johnson St & East Campus Mall. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Disregard Official Traffic Sign, Violate Solid Red Traffic Signal, Driver Possess Open Intox, Operating While Impaired Fourth Offense, Ignition Interlock Device Tampering; Failure to Install, Obstructing, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping X3, Felony Bail Jumping, and Criminal Operating After Revocation.
- 12:51 pm, Other, Frautschi Point Lot. Assist Motorist - Flagged down by person who stated their lavender iPhone was stolen at their workplace in Cottage Grove, WI on 08/10/24 at approximately 2 pm. Tracking phone to location requesting assistance locating phone.
- 4:40 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Library Mall. Contacted person who was near the 800 block of State Street when an unknown person began yelling at passerby's.
- 7:10 pm, Criminal Damage, Lot 35. Contacted person regarding damage to rear/middle driver side exterior. Large scratches to paint, exposing metal frame.
- 10:29 pm, Check Person, Memorial Union. Contacted/Placed into Protective Custody person due to incapacitation due to ETOH consumption.
- 1:24 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Assisted MPD with a drone deployment regarding a weapons violation. Disregarded upon arrival to scene.

- 1:45 pm, Found Property, N. Basset & W. Johnson Streets. Apple Airpods in brown leather case were located near Johnson and Basset and turned into UWPD.
- 5:11 pm, Battery, Grainger Hall. Contacted person regarding a strangulation/battery which occurred inside Grainger Hall in May of 2024.
- 7:29 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Bakke Recreation Center. Contacted person who reported their vehicle to be involved in a hit and run in lot 59 while being at the Bakke.
- 8:08 pm, Theft/Larceny, University Hospital. Contacted person who reported their black Biketrix E-Bike was taken from the Northwest corner bike rack of at the main entrance to University Hospital.
- 10:26 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Washington Ave & Regent Street. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Possession of MDMA, OWI (2nd), Possession of THC, Criminal OAR and Failure to Install IID. Cited for Red light violation, Speed 38/25 and Possession of open intoxicants.
- 1:36 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University Ave. & Lorch St. Stopped person and released to Responsible party for operating with suspended registration, cited for OWI 1st, PAC 1st, suspended registration, operating without valid license, & possession of intoxicants.
- 2:24 am, Check Person, University Ave & East Campus Mall. Contacted/Verbally Warned person for theft after observing them and an additional individual carrying away a traffic cone.
- 5:04 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Johnson St. & East Campus Mall. Incident ongoing at time of briefing release.

- 6:43 am, Check Person, Gordon Commons. Contacted persons after being called to investigate a person sleeping on the patio.
- 8:46 am, Found Property, UWPD. Destroyed debit card turned into UWPD after unable to locate cardholder.
- 7:08 pm, Found Property, Camp Randall Arch. A black, leather wallet was found in Camp Randall Memorial Park and turned into UWPD dispatch.
- 11:06 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, University Bay Drive. Assisted SHPD with OWI 1st/absolute sobriety arrest.
- 1:45 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Hwy 12 WB & Agriculture Drive. Assisted Dane County Sheriff Deputies by translating Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and Informing the Accused into Spanish for person after they were suspected and ultimately arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.
- 3:09 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Humanities Building. MPD arrested person after they were reported to be threatening another person with a pipe north of the Humanities Building.

- 2:16 pm, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Emergency Detention of patient at local hospital.
- 1:13 am, Other, W. Johnson & N. Bassett Streets. Traffic Stop - Cited person for possession of open intoxicants. Stopped vehicle for operating without required lamps. Verbally warned for suspended registration, operating without required lamps and possession of THC.
- 2:05 am, Other, S. Park St. & Fish Hachery Road. Traffic Stop - Stopped/Verbally warned person for stop light violation and lane deviation. Verbally warned passenger for or possession of open intoxicant.
- 2:28 am, Check Person, N. Frances & W. Dayton Streets. Contacted person who was sitting in a running car with the door partially open near State St. at bar close. There was a package of synthetic marijuana open in the backseat in plain view. Searched the vehicle. Located a total of three empty bags of synthetic marijuana. Released without incident.

- 8:17 am, Other, Humanities Building. Request for assistance - Contacted person after they turned in a stainless-steel kitchen knife to UWPD lobby. Knife discovered tucked under a table in rear of Humanities Auditorium while doing electrical work.
- 10:05 am, Graffiti, Memorial Union. Found graffiti in men's room on urinal divider in the corner.
- 2:21 pm, Damage to Property, Gordon Commons. While responding to call at Gordon Commons, observation made that the northernmost UW bus shelter on the west side of Lake Street had spider webbed cracking on its northern end.
- 2:40 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted Oregon PD with a phone associated with an ICAC investigation.
- 2:46 pm, Graffiti, Gordon Commons. While responding to call at Gordon Commons, observation made that the southernmost UW bus shelter on the west side of Lake Street had graffiti on its southern end.
- 3:06 pm, Other, Local Hospital. Request for assistance - Contacted person discharged from local hospital and being transferred to another facilty being combative and fighting with hospital security.
- 9:45 pm, Found Property, Local Hospital. Brown billfold w/ multiple financial cards found inside hospital emergency room. Property placed into property for safekeeping.
- 11:31 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, N. Randall Ave. & W. Dayton St. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party for OWI (1st) and exceeding speed zones 49/30.
- 11:33 pm, Other, S. Park Street. Traffic Stop - Stopped person for operating at high speed (44 in 25). Person cited for Criminal OAR and Speeding and verbally warned for non-registration.

- 12:09 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Observatory Dr. MFR transported person to local hospital, no PD assistance needed.
- 12:09 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Returned call to person after they called UWPD to report the vehicle they had parked in Lot 75 between 11:45 am-4:00 pm on 08/02/24 had been struck while unoccupied.
- 2:02 pm, Theft/Larceny, Engineering Hall. Contacted person who locked their bike to the north rack 2 or three months ago and now is no longer in that same location.
- 4:15 pm, Information, ERB. Contacted person who shipped a $35,000 camera from ERB but it is now missing.
- 4:37 pm, Emergency Detention, Local Hospital. Completed Emergency Detention for person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 4:55 pm, Other, East Gilman St. LRAS Assist/Rescue Run - Took exhausted windsurfer back to Hoofers from UW LRAS station.
- 6:45 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital, no PD assistance needed.
- 8:14 pm, Other, MSC. Closing Hours Violation - Contacted person who was found in Humanities after hours by UWPD Security.
