10:53 am, Theft/Larceny, Bakke Recreation Center. Contact with person reporting theft of pickleball racket from pickleball court 2 at Bakke.

Contacted person after being struck in the left elbow while riding their bicycle by a frozen water bottle thrown at him from a passing vehicle that they just had an interaction with at the corner of N. Randall and University Ave. Investigation ongoing, report filed.
3:09 pm, Lost Property, MFCB. Contacted person who reported loss of UW-owned laptop to Med School and their attempts to locate and needed to file a police report with UWPD, Med School Cybersecurity and DoIT, report number provided to person.
6:43 pm, Other, Regent Street. Contacted/Cited persons for Municipal False ID after they collectively made purchases of alcohol at Regent Street Liquor and brought to campus (confiscated alcohol/destroyed ID’s), follow up with Regent Street Liquor regarding ID’s.
7:04 pm, Other, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited persons for possession of alcohol and False ID (Municipal) (confiscated/destroyed).
7:46 pm, Other, Kohl Center. Attempted to contact persons, when I identified myself as “police” and they ran away, was able to confiscate alcohol, investigation ongoing.
11:15 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited person for UAL 1st after they were seen with alcohol in their hand while walking in the hallway.
1:07 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they were found in the bathroom of Residence Hall, EMS denied, intoxicated not incapacitated, UAL citation to be issued at a later time.
1:15 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported to local hospital due to intoxication from alcohol, verbally warned for possession of marijuana, THC vape seized and destroyed.

3:13 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Assisted outside agency regarding patient warrant, issued and collection kit placed into UWPD property for outside agency.
3:33 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Contacted person who reported they witnessed a hit and run crash in Lot 75 near the handicap parking on the first level. Person saw another vehicle hit another vehicle in the lot, follow up being conducted and contacting both involved parties.
3:47 pm, Burglary, Residence Hall. Contacted person who stated their microwave is missing from their room.
4:41 pm, Theft/Larceny, Union South. Contacted person regarding theft of their scooter from the north side of the building, suspect has been identified, PC filled out, UWPD will be notified when person reports to work for their next shift.

11:35 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.

10:29 am, Other, UWPD. Spoke with someone reporting they lost their passport while on a bus from Chicago to Madison, filing a police report so they could get a new one.
11:44 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Lot 76. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for OWI 1st, hit and run after they crashed into another vehicle and the gate arm leaving lot 76.
1:49 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing a mental health crisis.
2:13 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Dairy Barn. Person called to report that earlier in the day as they were backing up UW Fleet vehicle with a horse trailer when they hit a dumpster with the passenger corner rear taillight, report filed.
2:35 pm, Theft/Larceny, Ogg Hall. Contacted person regarding their stolen bike that was locked oon the east side of the bike parking at Ogg Hall. UPDATE: Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for theft and possess drug paraphernalia, scooter was found with suspect and placed into property and potentially an item from another theft case.
5:20 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Mills & Milton Streets. Contacted/Cited person for UAL 1st (Muni) and False ID (Muni) (confiscated/destroyed) after observing them exit Regent Street Liquor with alcohol before meeting with other persons who were waiting outside.

12:06 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 75. Contacted person via phone after being involved in a hit and run incident of a gate pillar at the NW entrance of the lot. Gave information to Transportation Services for follow up.
2:58 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 60. Person reporting damage to the driver's side door of their vehicle.
5:23 pm, Other, W. Johnson & State Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Contacted/Cited driver for failure to obey sign, non-reg of vehicle, operating while suspended and unreasonable and imprudent speed.
11:49 pm, Information, Location Redacted. Person flagged down PD at Tripp to share they found spent weapon casings earlier in the day, investigation ongoing.
2:27 am, Other, Witte Hall. Contacted person who reported 2 people banging on doors on the second floor of Witte Hall. It is believed that the two likely bypassed a security device. Persons were contacted by housefellow and left.

3:29 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Wallet found, attempts to contact owner unsuccessful, placed into UWPD property for safekeeping and will attempt to contact through other means.
12:29 am, Other, Nakoma Lot. Suspicious Vehicle - Persons contacted after being contacted in vehicle that was parked in the lot that was closed. Both parties did not have a valid DL to drive vehicle, vehicle left parked in lot and UWPD drove parties to their residences. Verbally warned for closing lot violations.
