- 1:12 pm, Other, Observatory Dr. & Walnut St. Contacted person via phone after being struck from behind by a vehicle in the roundabout at Walnut St and Observatory Dr. causing them injury.
- 5:53 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 36. Contacted persons to report damage to a convex ramp mirror caused by a street sweeper.
- 7:26 pm, Other, Frances St. & University Ave. Trafficstop-stopped/contacted/verbally warned driver for Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed, Improper left turn and Excessive Acceleration.
- 1:24 am, Other, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspects for OMVWOC and for OMVWOC-Passenger. Recovered stolen vehicle.

- 12:08 pm, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 12:12 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFD assisting patient, no police assistance needed per MFD.
- 12:30 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. They are working on the alarm system.
- 12:00 am, Follow-up, UWPD. Follow up call - Identified vehicle to be cited.
- 2:20 pm, Other, UWPD. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect regarding follow-up from cases.
- 6:09 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Monroe St. & Randall Ave. Assisted outside agency MFD with a rollover vehicle crash at Monroe St and Randall Ave.
- 7:08 pm, Graffiti, Lot 6. Contacted person who reported graffiti in the SW stairwell of Lot 6.
- 1:44 am, Warrant Served, Memorial Library. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Dane County bench warrant, after being contacted/verbally warned for camping at Memorial Library.

- 8:50 am, Information, Location Redacted. Cited person for misuse of 911 .
- 9:26 am, Graffiti, Grainger Hall. Located, photographed graffiti called in by Physical .
- 10:24 am, Theft/Larceny, University Ave. Person reported their bicycle stolen.
- 11:23 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 3:19 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Extensive amount of reader offline and communications lost alarms from here. Also received a couple forced door alarms while AVIS was trying to trouble shoot remotely. Securitas eventually responded to the building and fixed the issue.
- 6:10 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for trespass to land-remain after notice after they were contacted by an outside agency at the Memorial Union for offenses in their jurisdiction, transport by outside agency, person does have active campus ban.
- 6:11 pm, Theft/Larceny, Union South. Person reported their rear tire on their bike was stolen .
- 11:41 pm, Other, Location Redacted. Related to UWPD theft case, stalking element removed, person identified as suspect for theft.
Daily Blotter for July 20th 2026
- 9:10 am, Theft/Larceny, Lot 80. Person reported their vehicle title was taken from their unlocked vehicle sometime overnight.
- 2:47 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Newer Airpods turned into UWPD located near Brooks & Erin St. were dead, potential “owners” contacted and messages left for each, if no one claims, will place into property due to value.
- 3:31 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Patient to be transported by MFR to local hospital, no police assistance needed.
- 7:50 pm, Criminal Damage, Lot 46. Contacted person reporting damages to Lot 46 east exit gate arm.
- 12:24 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 60. Contacted person for Go Riteway Transportation Group, after a fleet vehicle was struck in parking lot, suspect vehicle is known and not on scene, investigation ongoing.

- 10:34 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR evaluated patient and declined transport to local hospital, no further assistance needed.
- 11:23 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Assisted outside agency in locating person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 2:03 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person needing medical assistance, MFR evaluated, released without incident, advised to contact UWPD or Emergency Services to assist if needed.
- 9:56 pm, Eluding, W. Johnson & N. Brooks Street. Attempted to stop motorcycle for speeding, last seen headed inbound W Johnson from N Park, no pursuit.
- 12:57 am, Other, N. Henry & W. Gilman St. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Verbally Warned driver for operating without lights on and open intoxicants in vehicle.
- 3:57 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR was on scene prior to our arrival, no police assistance needed.

- 1:24 am, Other, Local Hospital. Contacted/Arrested/Cited/Released person for trespass remain after notice when they would not leave a local hospital after being discharged into the care of their care providers.
- 8:04 am, Theft/Larceny, Eagle Heights. Contacted person regarding two Trek bicycle taken from the East side of Eagle Heights bike rack.
- 4:30 pm, Information, UWPD. Contacted person after they wanted to report unwanted contact from another person, report done for documentation purposes only.
- 6:19 pm, Warrant Served, N. Lake St. & University Ave. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for an active DOC warrant, charged with misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- 12:31 am, Eluding, N. Park St. & University Ave. Attempted to stop sport bike for failing to displaying registration. Bike took off outbound University Avenue from N Mills Street, no pursuit.

- 6:39 am, Other, Location Redacted. Unauthorized Presence - Person with campus ban was seen in the area but did not park and did not say anything to anyone and is no longer in the area. will continue to monitor and document.

- 2:27 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person needing medical treatment, was then transported by relative to local hospital for treatment.
- 3:15 pm, Theft/Larceny, Lowell Residence Hall. Contacted person regarding theft of their bike from the bike racks near Lowell Res Hall on Frances.

- 7:52 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported patient to local hospital for medical treatment.
- 8:44 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. UWPD transported person to local hospital for medical treatment.
- 12:12 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 85. Contacted person operating one vehicle that was backed into by driver of another, both UW owned vehicles, risk management report done.
- 1:12 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person who stated they may have left the door open too long, no issues.
- 6:00 pm, Theft/Larceny, Mechanical Engineering. Contacted person regarding stolen AirPod Pro case, location is plotting nearby and will continue to monitor location.
- 10:32 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 17. Contacted persons regarding damage to a street sweeper when they struck a utility pipe, report number provided.
- 1:43 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited person for unauthorized presence when they were found sleeping on the Union Terrace.
- 1:52 am, Warrant Served, State Street. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Dane County Warrant, Felony Bail Jumping and Resist/Obstruction, motorcycle entered into property for safe keeping.

- 8:07 am, Check Person, Memorial Library. Contacted person after being overheard saying some disturbing things.
- 9:57 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Smith Hall. Contacted contractor and UW vehicles collided.
- 10:25 am, Theft/Larceny, Rennebohm Hall. Contacted staff regarding former employee and items that have not been returned, investigation ongoing with outside agency.
- 11:11 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported patient to local hospital for medical treatment.
- 5:20 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted via phone person regarding theft of bike after locking it to the bike rack by Langdon and Park Street.
- 10:09 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted person and placed into protective custody while MFR transported them to local hospital during mental health crisis, released out of protective custody to medical staff.
- 12:47 am, Other, Frances Street. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Contacted Driver for OWL, Verbally Warned for red light violation, confiscated open/empty large nitrous oxide canister plain view (confiscated/destroyed).
- 1:16 am, Other, Langdon & Henry Streets. Located vehicle as it was abandoned on the wrong side of the street, vehicle reported stolen out of Fond Du Lac, agency contacted.
- 2:58 am, Drug Violation, W. Washington Ave. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Possession of Fentanyl, Felony Bail Jumping and Possession of Cocaine after conducting contact when vehicle was noticed idling for over 30 min with multiple short-term contacts.
