Daily Blotter for September 3rd 2023
- 5:55 pm, Found Property, Ogg Hall. Contacted person for found wallet.
- 7:42 pm, Found Property, UWPD. A debit card was discovered by a UWPD SO near Lot 81, was turned in at UWPD.
- 9:04 pm, Theft/Larceny, Mack House. Contacted person who reported their yellow Velotric Nomad 1 E-Bike was taken without permission from the bike racks east of Showerman House.
- 12:28 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Regent St. & W. Washington Ave. Transported/Released to detox staff without issue person after they stumbled up to an officers traffic stop.
- 2:03 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Union Sout. Transported/Released to detox staff person after they were found unconscious but breathing on the north side of Union South.
- 2:39 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Bascom Hall. Cited suspect for UW Unauthorized presence (roofs, access tunnels, etc) after they were seen on camera descending from the roof of Bascom Hall, setting off the alarm.
- 3:16 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Sellery Hall. Contacted person after a housefellow, found them vomiting into the 10th floor sink.
Daily Blotter for September 2nd 2023
- 12:26 am, Other, Springs Lot. Suspicious Vehicle - Contacted persons and vehicle search conducted due to odor of marijuana. Found ashtray with ashes and smoked joint in center console. Verbally warned for closing hours and possession of marijuana on UW lands.
- 3:57 am, Criminal Damage, Lot 67. Cited person for operating without a valid driver's license after they had accidentally driven their vehicle through the northwest entrance gate of Lot 67.
- 5:58 am, Check Person, Weeks Hall. Cited person for violation of UW Closing Hours after they were reported to be on the third floor of Weeks Hall even though the building has posted closing hours until 7am.
- 10:19 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 124. Dispatched to Lot 124 for a hit and run.
- 11:36 am, Theft/Larceny, Chadbourne Hall. Spoke with person who reported their locked, black Riverside 100 6 speed stolen.
- 12:29 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Fluno Center. Contact with person who was hyperventilating.
- 1:45 pm, Fraud, Showerman Hall. Spoke with person who reported $280 loss while trying to purchase 1 student section season football ticket.
- 2:33 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Babcock & Observatory Drive. Contacted person who reported their vehicle was struck by a bicycle driven while waiting in line for move-in on 8/31/23.
- 6:03 pm, Harassment, Local Hospital. Contacted person for an agitated patient who was being verbally aggressive and was not responding to chemical sedation.
- 12:57 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, N Park St. & College Ct. Contacted/transported/released to detox person after they were observed being entirely carried by two persons.
- 1:14 am, Other, W. Washington & S. Broom Streets. Liquor Law/Underage Alcohol - Cited suspect for City of Madison Ord: UAL 3rd after they were found in the fetal position at the intersection of W Washington/S Broom.
- 2:51 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, State Street. Assisted City of Madison Police Department on a weapons violation for a person who was shot in the leg at the 500 blk of State St.
- 3:08 am, Other, Chadbourne Hall. Liquor Law/Underage Alcohol - Cited suspect for UAL 1st after they were reported passed out in the third floor restroom by their roommate.

- 10:12 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Spoke with person who accidentally set off alarm.
- 3:10 pm, Criminal Damage, University Houses. Contacted person from Canteen Vending regarding vending machine damage.
- 6:31 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Riley's Wines of the World - Regent Street. Contacted persons at Riley's Wines of the World while conducting First 45 UAL enforcement.
- 8:24 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. A communication loss alarm from a room in the building. No issues found.
- 10:05 pm, Criminal Damage, Memorial Union. Contacted person for a damaged bicycle.
- 10:22 pm, Check Person, University Ave & N. Frances St. Contacted persons after an employee at Red Shed waved us down stating persons using fake ID’s trying to enter the bar.
- 11:23 pm, Eluding, W. Johnson St & N. Broom St. Attempted to stop vehicle for Improper Left Turn. Vehicle took off at high rate of speed last seen northbound on N Broom St from W Johnson St. No pursuit. Follow-up: MPD arrested driver after a brief pursuit.
- 12:11 am, Check Person, W. Dayton & N. Frances St. Contacted/cited person for UAL 1st after observing them urinate on a wall on the Southside of residence hall.
- 1:31 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Cited person for UAL 1st.
- 2:42 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Langon St. Contacted person who had attempted to enter a residence on Langdon St while looking for their cell phone. Therapy K9 deployed to assist with residents in the home.
- 3:57 am, Criminal Damage, Lot 67. No disposition at time of briefing release.

- 8:18 am, Theft/Larceny, Kronsage Conover House. Contacted person reporting their bicycle stolen from Kronsage Conover House bike racks.
- 12:36 pm, Other, Memorial Library. Bomb Threat - Contacted person after they received a vague bomb threat via the library online request form.
- 2:20 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center - N194 County Rd. N, Wisconsin Dells. Spoke with person at Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center who reported on 08/28/23, at approximately 4:30PM, two pontoon boats with Wisconsin registration registered to Tiki Bay Water Toys & Pontoon Rental LLC were beached on Beaver Beach of Blackhawk Island and boat patrons were trespassing on the beach. Group refused to comply to leave private area. Report for informational purposes.
- 5:59 pm, Criminal Damage, Harvey St. Contacted person who reported the glass on the tailgate of their vehicle was smashed between 9pm on 8/28/23 and 6pm on 08/30/2023.
- 10:00 pm, Information, Ingraham Hall. Contacted by person from Canteen Vending regarding damage to a vending machine in the basement level of Ingraham Hall.

- 10:42 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Lake & State Streets. Contacted person who was across from the KK, unable to walk, transported to local hospital.
- 3:21 am, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Emergency detention of patient.

- 7:13 am, Graffiti, UW Arboretum. Received an email from UW Arboretum reporting new graffiti on the wood shed located adjacent to Wingra Boat Rental on the north shore of Lake Wingra.
- 10:42 am, Fraud, Memorial Union. Contacted person after they reported a counterfeit $100 bill was used during a transaction on 8/27/23.
- 12:30 pm, Damage to Property, Microbial Sciences. Contacted person who reported glass broken in a room within the building.
- 3:17 pm, Check Person, Lot 60. Contacted person who was found by DCSO in their vehicle for a check person.
- 5:37 pm, Check Person, Lot 75. Contacted by Transportation Services regarding a motorcyclist trying to exit the gate who was struck by the gate arm while it was closing.
- 9:08 pm, Criminal Damage, Lot 83. Contacted person after they reported the Lot 83 gate arm being struck by vehicle on 8/26/23 at 2:10AM causing $2000 in damage.
- 9:35 pm, Check Person, Union South. Arrested/Cited/Transported/Released due to outstanding warrants to Dane County Jail suspect after their disorderly conduct actions disturbed others at Union South.
- 10:09 pm, Check Person, Wendt Library. Contacted person while looking for a disorderly conduct subject near Wendt Library. Cited for camping on UW lands.
- 10:19 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted persons for a subject attempting to open their front door.
Daily Blotter for August 28th 2023
- 8:42 am, Criminal Damage, Dejope Hall. Contacted person regarding EXIT ceiling signs were vandalized and taken from 5th floor of Dejope Residence Hall.
- 12:33 pm, Damage to Property, Cole Hall. Contacted by telephone person who struck and damaged a bicycle in a rack on the north side of Cole Hall while moving a person into Sullivan Hall.
- 3:17 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Brooks & Fahrenbrook. Cited person for MUNI-UAL after observing them exit Regent Liquor carrying a 30-pack of Bud Light beer.
- 4:17 pm, Theft/Larceny, Witte Hall. No disposition at time of briefing release.
- 6:26 pm, Check Person, Local hospital. Contacted persons regarding a report from hospital security who reporting they were pushing each other inside of the hospital.

- 12:13 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding accidental activation.
- 2:12 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Brooks St. & College Ct. Cited person for MUNI-UAL after observing them exit Regent Liquor.
- 5:30 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Bakke Recreation Center. Transported person to local hospital after dislocating their shoulder on the third floor basketball court.
- 7:12 pm, Other, Lot 2. Weapons Violation - Contacted persons located by Transportation Services in Lot 2 throwing unknown objects from the upper level onto the ground.
- 10:30 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Kohl Center. Transported person to local hospital after contact made during The Chicks concert at the Kohl Center.
- 11:44 pm, Eluding, University Ave. Attempted to stop a vehicle that violated the red traffic signal on westbound University Ave and N Randall Ave. T-Stop attempted, but vehicle fled at a high rate of speed on Campus Drive. Vehicle ended up in traffic accident with one person detained after accident.
- 1:28 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person after their spouse called 911 for medical assistance and transported via MFR to local hospital.
- 2:14 am, Other, Regent & Monroe Streets. Contacted/Transported/Cited/Released to detox staff person for Non-UW for City Ordinance UAL 1st after they were found lying on the sidewalk at the intersection of Regent St. at Monroe St.

- 9:18 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Spoke with staff member by telephone who said all is fine.
- 11:53 am, Information, UWPD. Spoofing calls received no further information.
- 10:20 pm, Eluding, University Ave & Orchard St. Attempted to stop 7 motorcycles doing tricks, driving wrecklessly, and going through red stop lights. Motorists eluded and continued Westbound on Campus Dr.
- 10:28 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Churchkey Bar - University Ave. Assisted MPD Community Policing Team (CPT) with a bar check of Churchkey.
- 11:26 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Memorial Union. Contacted person after was called for them after they were swimming and slipped on the Hoofers Pier.
- 11:17 pm, Other, S. Park & Erin Streets. Cited person for possession of drug paraphernalia. Verbally warned for operating without required lamps during hours of darkness, for possession of THC and expired registration.
- 1:52 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Johnson & N. Henry Streets. Arrested/Cited/Released to Responsible Party suspect for OWI 2nd, Criminal OAR (4th), and Fail to obey traffic sign (reason for stop).
- 2:22 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, W. Johnson & N. Henry Streets. Transported person to detox after passerby notified PD that they were passed out in a bush near another traffic stop.

- 8:54 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Main door – all secure. HVAC is causing air pressure issues in the building. Additional patrols requested of the building to ensure doors are secure.
- 12:04 pm, Theft/Larceny, Smith Hall. No disposition at time of briefing release.
- 12:45 pm, Sexual Assault, Location Redacted. Called and spoke to a Probation Agent wanting to report their client was at a local hospital and needed an officer to report an assault.
- 2:55 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person after they set door alarm while entering building.
- 4:14 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person for theft of their book at Peet's Coffee Shop between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
- 4:34 pm, Theft/Larceny, Red Gym. Contacted person regarding stolen black and ride absolute bike, with a black kickstand with blue button.
- 8:49 pm, Graffiti, Aldo Leopold Residence Hall. Contacted person regarding graffiti found in the 3rd floor stairwell.
- 11:18 pm, Other, University Houses. Shots fired - Responded to University Houses for a report of shots fired.
