Daily Blotter for November 28th 2022
- 1:29 pm, Check Person, Local Hospital. Contacted local hospital staff in regards to a patient.
- 2:00 pm, Theft/Larceny, Witte Hall. Contacted person who reported Walmart package taken from in front of the main entrance of Witte Hall.
- 7:12 pm, Theft/Larceny, Kronsage . Contacted person regarding theft of bike from Turner Hall.
- 7:16 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Assisted Dodge County Sheriff with an OWI 1st blood draw kit from suspect and secured into UWPD evidence.
- 1:00 am, Eluding, Johnson & Frances Streets. Attempted to stop a dark gray Toyota Rav4 for speeding on W Johnson Street near N Orchard Street.
- 2:20 am, Other, Traffic Stop - Fish Hachery & Badger Roads. Cited person operating an unregistered Chevrolet Uplander for non-registration of auto.
- 2:53 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Local Hospital. Contacted/transported person to the Tellurian Detox Facility, after they left a local hospital against medical advice with suicidal ideations and was missing.

- 6:58 am, Other, Witte Hall. Contacted person after subjects were observed drinking a "beer" on the west side of Union South.
- 9:28 pm, Other, W. Gorham & N. Carroll Streets. Missing Juvenile - Located missing juvenile who was the driver of a traffic stop for expired registration.
- 11:51 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Regent and Jefferson Streets. Cited person for UAL 1st (City Ordinance) after they were being assisted to walk and was covered in vomit.
- 1:00 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Johnson and Lake Streets. Cited person for underage consumption of alcohol 1st offense after they were observed being dragged by friends across the intersection of N Lake St and W Johnson St.
- 1:33 am, Other, Park and Braxton Streets. Traffic Stop - Cited suspect for OWI and verbally warned for non-registration of auto.
- 3:04 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Lot 80. Transported person to detox after they were observed being carried down the sidewalk.

- 8:32 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. On camera person appeared to have door propped while outside smoking.
- 6:18 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, WIMR. Contacted person sitting in fleet vehicle and transported to local hospital.
- 9:44 pm, Check Person, Location redacted. Check Person/Detox Transport - Contacted person after found in a bathroom and transported to Detox without incident.
- 1:31 am, Operating While Intoxicated, N. Franklin & E. Johnson Street. Arrested/Cited/Released to the Dane County Jail suspect for OWI 1st and failure to obey sign (wrong way on a one way).

- 10:21 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Emergency Detention Transport after person became involuntary at local hospital and demonstrated psychosis concerns.
- 3:43 am, Resisting Arrest, Kwik Trip Monroe Street. Arrested/Booked/Released to the Dane County Jail suspect for resisting, felony bail jumping, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Suspect matched description of theft subject ref other case and was with additional theft suspect.
- 7:42 am, Follow-up, Kwik Trip - Monroe Street. Arrested/Booked/Released to Dane County jail suspect on other theft probable cause warrants.
- 10:02 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Doors secure.
- 3:30 pm, Burglary, Chemistry Building. Security staff located damage to the Johnson St. side construction door of the Chemistry Building.
- 10:21 pm, Follow-up, Witte Hall. Arrested/Booked/Released to Dane County Jail suspect on probable cause and warrants.

- 1:06 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person who accidentally set off alarm.
- 2:33 pm, Check Person, Elvehjem. Contacted person checked their welfare on State Street Mall.
- 3:03 pm, Information, McBurney Resource Center. Received EO54 report from the UW Department of Admissions.
- 5:58 pm, Information, UWPD. Contacted person ref previous contact with UWPD on 11/22.
- 10:21 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Emergency Detention of subject after they became combative at local hospital and began making statements of self-harm.
- 12:08 am, Operating While Intoxicated, S. Park and Cedar Streets. Arrested/Cited/Released to Dane County Jail without incident suspect for OWI 1st, OWL, non-registration, and speeding (17over).
- 3:43 am, Information, 1421 Monroe Street. Still on going, no disposition at this time. (Nature code may change once disposition is up).

- 7:03 am, Check Person, Lot 63. Contacted person who was upset at local hospital because their wallet was stolen the night before in the emergency room and believed hospital staff were not being helpful.
- 8:50 am, Information, 702 W. Jonson Street. Person reported that admissions received a paper application had brief information that wanted to be documented.
- 5:02 pm, Information, Bascom Hall. Contacted person who reported an unknown individual contacted UWHR attempting to change the account for their direct deposit by impersonating them via email.
- 5:30 pm, Warrant Served, Memorial Union. Arrested and transported to Dane County Jail without incident suspect who was making concerning comments towards Memorial Union Staff.
- 8:24 pm, Fraud, UWPD. Contacted person looking to report fraud after they sent over $200,000 to an individual(s) identifying themselves as the "Chinese Police".
- 8:41 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person for a mental health welfare check.
- 2:06 am, Trespassing/After Hours, LaBahn. Cited subject for closing hours-established, after they were observed exiting the La Bahn Arena.

- 11:23 am, Check Person, 21 N Park Street. Contacted person for information regarding homeless person using building.
- 12:50 pm, Fraud, Memorial Union. Contacted person for Fraud.
- 1:26 pm, Check Person, Witte Hall. Camera review confirmed suspect was person who has bail conditions banning them from UW-Madison Campus.
- 3:03 pm, Information, 702 W. Johnson Street. Executive Order 54 regarding admission application.
- 5:39 pm, Graffiti, Lot 46. “RAHER” in red paint marker located lower lot 46 on a fire extinguisher box located by Officer.
- 6:49 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Memorial Union. Contacted person who was transported to a local hospital by MFR.
- 10:40 pm, Graffiti, Educational Sciences. Responded to Educational Sciences for graffiti located on exterior door S09-02.
- 11:47 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Liz Waters Hall. Person was transported to local hospital by MFD after friends reported they were highly intoxicated and vomiting.
- 1:33 am, Trespassing/After Hours, UW Hospital Emergency Department. Also cited for Theft - Cited suspect for UW Code Theft $100-$1000 after they were witnessed taking a cell phone and keys/fob from an unattended plastic bin in the UWER waiting room.
- 1:59 am, Trespassing/After Hours, HC White. Cited suspect for trespass to land-remain after notice, after they walked into HC White Library after having received a ban notice which does not allow them to be in there.

- 7:48 am, Other, Lot 6. UW Code Violation - Contacted/Cited subject for UW Code Camping.
- 9:34 am, Damage to Property, Fluno Center. Contacted person in regards to damage light pole on the north side of Fluno Center.
- 3:52 pm, Other, Grainger Hall. UW Code Violation - Cited subject for UW unauthorized presence in university buildings.
- 7:15 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Spoke with staff who stated it was an ongoing issue due to cold weather.
- 7:47 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Smith Hall. Conveyed person to local hospital.
- 9:15 pm, Check Person, Lot 7 Grainger Parking Ramp. Arrested suspect for non-UW for a warrant out of Dane County and transported to Dane County Jail with no issues.
- 1:35 am, Warrant Served, N Btoom and State Streets. Contacted/Stopped suspect for wrong way driving. Suspect had a body only warrant out of Dane County. Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail without incident.

- 12:18 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Chadborne Hall. Transported person to local hospital for a injury.
- 4:22 pm, Information, Mcburney Resource Center. Received Executive Order 54 (EO54) report from UW Department of Admissions.
- 5:49 pm, Theft/Larceny, Gordon Commons. Contacted person regarding theft of scooter.
- 8:00 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, Memorial Union. Contacted/Arrested/Transported to Dane County Jail suspect for OWI 1st.
- 9:28 pm, Battery, Nicholas Rec Center. Arrested suspect for Battery to Medical Staff, Battery to Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting and Obstructing, Threatening Police Officers, and two counts of Disorderly Conduct after suspect entered the Nic. Rec. Center and began threatening and shouting at staff.
- 1:00 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Ogg Hall. Cited suspect for UAL 1st after they were reported to be heavily intoxicated, vomited on themselves, and unable to get out of bed.
- 1:09 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Dejope. Cited suspect for UAL 1st after EMS was called reference difficulty breathing and found incapacitated.
- 1:27 am, Drug Violation, Ogg Hall. Ogg Housefellows reported seeing suspect who lives in Ogg, walking down the hallway with a clear gallon size bag of what looked to be marijuana rolled up like a ‘joint'.
- 1:53 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Sellery Hall. Contacted person after they were located by housefellows throwing up in the 3rd floor bathroom.
- 3:00 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Assisted staff in resetting alarm.
