Daily Blotter for February 16th 2023
- 8:09 pm, Follow-up, HC White. Cited suspect for misdemeanor cite theft under $2500 after he stole a backpack with a laptop, mouse, clothes and other misc. property.
- 11:25 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Memorial Library. Contacted person on the 3rd floor after library staff requested, we check on their welfare.
- 12:25 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Nielsen Tennis. Responded to Nielsen stadium for an individual injured while playing Tennis.
- 1:03 pm, Theft/Larceny, West Dayton Street. Person reported their black e-bike was stolen between 9pm on 2/14/23 and 1pm on 2/15/23.
- 1:49 pm, Information, MCBurney Resource Center. Reviewed EO54 submission from person and determined to be documented with a report, but no need for additional follow-up.
- 2:01 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Grainger Hall. Cited suspect for UW trespassing in Grainger Hall (remain after notice) after being contacted by staff and ban notice.
- 5:35 pm, Found Property, AOSS. Iphone (possible 5c version) found outside.
- 6:35 pm, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. Contacted person who stated their roommate has been visiting a website called watchpeopledie.com frequently in the past week, no threats to harm oneself or others.
- 9:38 pm, Information, Helen C White Library. Contacted person who called regarding a person of interest making derogatory statements about women and anti-Islamic comments.
Daily Blotter for February 15th 2023
- 9:21 am, Information, UWPD. Reviewing UW milestone video about a Maxient report and possible suspect reference assaults in Greenbush neighborhood.
- 9:43 am, Information, 1210 W Dayton Street. Contacted person after they reached out to UWPD because custodial staff found their office unlocked.
- 9:56 am, Information, McBurney Resource Center. Received EO54 from admissions. Applicant disclosed possible sexual assault that occurred with a classmate.
- 6:58 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Arrested/Transported and released to Dane County Jail suspect for felony bail jumping x2, resisting and disorderly conduct after they were yelling profanities/threatening/and gesturing to fight a patient at a local hospital and security staff.
- 8:30 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Kohl Center. Contacted person behind the visiting bench during the Michigan MBB game after they almost passed out 2x in in their seat.
- 10:04 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Library. Contacted person for a report of a wallet theft from 5th floor of building area.
- 10:30 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person who reported their backpack stolen from the hoofers area.
- 11:12 pm, Other, Bassett & Johnson Streets. Weapons Violation - Contacted/Cited arrested/released to Dane County Jail suspect for improper left turn. Arrested for OWI 2nd, PAC 2nd, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying firearm while intoxicated. Seized weapon with loaded magazine and stored in UWPD property at this time.
- 12:40 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, UWPD. Contacted person at Randall Ave at Regent St after coming in to UWPD lobby and making statements of having mood swings and needing help.
Daily Blotter for February 14th 2023
- 5:24 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Lot 29. Cited suspect for UW Code: Camping after they were in the east 1st level stairwell sleeping using their belongings as shelter .
- 10:45 am, Information, McBurney Resource Center. Mandatory report received from the Office of Admissions and Recruitment with an applicant essay stating they were sexually assaulted.
- 9:07 am, Theft/Larceny, Lot 60. Contacted persons after they witnessed two persons attempting to steal a catalytic converter.
- 2:45 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Requested by Brown County Sheriff`s Office to interview a person who may have information reference a case they are investigating, which happened in Brown County.
- 1:43 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Memorial Union. Contacted person who said a man stepped in front of them and spoke to them in a manner the person was uncomfortable with.
- 4:25 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person after they sent vague suicidal messages to friends in another state.
- 6:38 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person after they were heard crying in a classroom in the building.

- 1:14 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person in local residence hall after Wiscard scan info showed them there following a call with Journey Mental Health with thoughts of self-harm.
- 1:38 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person working inside and verified no need for police assistance.
- 3:18 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Brooks & Regent Streets. Contacted/Cited person for UAL 1st, verbally warned for possession of false ID.
- 5:35 pm, Information, Crew House. Contacted person who reported they received a personalized, rambling typed letter containing odd references to YouTube songs to their home address out of state.
- 11:16 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Location Redacted. Contacted person after a friend reported they were unresponsive in their room on the bed due to alcohol consumption.

- 3:16 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Camp Randall Stadium. Assisted MFR at Gate 5 for someone who fell on the ice.
- 10:25 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Witte Hall. Contacted person who called on behalf of their roommate to be checked on.
- 11:11 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Conover. Contacted person who reported their friend was intoxicated and hit their head falling out of an Uber.
- 12:27 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Witte Hall. Person transported to local hospital for detox due to heavy intoxication due to alcohol.
- 4:10 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Sellery Hall. Contacted/cited person for UAL 1st and providing false identification after they were reported to be banging on multiple doors inside Sellery Hall.
- 5:55 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Shorewood Hills Police Department. Assisted SHPD with sending a raccoon off to the big garbage can in the sky.

- 12:05 pm, Information, Observatory Hill. Contacted person reference a possible Disorderly Conduct occurring outside a room.
- 1:29 pm, Threat Assessment, UWPD. Contacted persona about a gun they are keeping off campus that belongs to someone else.
- 2:12 pm, Theft/Larceny, UW Hospital. Contacted person regarding a theft.
- 2:40 pm, Information, Water Sciences. Contacted person who wanted to report an ongoing conflict between themselves and another person.
- 3:03 pm, Information, McBurney Resource Center. Received EO54 Report in which applicant indicates they were physically hit by a parent.
- 3:23 pm, Information, Steenbock Library. Contacted person who reported their wallet lost and missing sometime on February 8, 2023.
- 4:41 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Library. Contacted person who reported the frame of their bike, rear wheel, and lighting were stolen; frame and rear wheel were replaced with the same model but bearing a different serial number.
- 1:29 am, Check Person, Witte Hall. Cited person for underage consumption/possession of alcohol 1st offense.
- 2:36 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Gorham & N Broom Streets. Stopped/Cited/Arrested and released to responsible party suspect for failing to yield to traffic signs on State St and no lamps during the hour of night.

- 7:50 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Person passed through door correctly, but alarm still activated.
- 1:04 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Contacted persons who were all hit by a patient and did not consent to the interactions.
- 1:02 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, State Lab of Hygiene. Contacted person who was operating another vehicle when they slid into the back passenger side of another vehicle while backing up due to weather..
- 5:48 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person who advised they were the only one inside the lab and that the door has ongoing issues with false alarms upon exit.
- 9:45 pm, Graffiti, Gordon Commons. Contacted person reporting an etching to a mirror in the second-floor men`s restroom stating "ACAB!" and another etching on a previously repaired elevator panel stating "ACAB".
- 12:19 am, Criminal Damage, Lot 50. Contacted/Detained/Cited suspect for UW resisting/obstructing and criminal damage.

- 11:09 am, Drug Violation, Sellery Hall. Contacted person who, while conducting fire alarm drillsn located a small baggie in the stairwell of Sellery Hall that contained a green leafy substance they suspected was MJ.

- 12:09 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Union South. Contacted person for a check person after breaking arm and transport via MFR.
- 2:27 pm, Warrant Served, Grainger Hall. Arrested/booked/released to DCJ suspect for a warrant out of Dane County.
- 7:02 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Science Hall. Contacted person who backed into parked/unoccupied vehicle.
- 12:44 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University Ave. Contacted/Arrested/Cited and released to responsible party for OWI 3rd, PAC 1st, and for failure to obey red light .
- 1:19 am, Warrant Served, ERB. Contacted persons who after security saw them take items from the loading dock SWAP bin. One person uncooperative and detained, eventually arrested/transported for multiple Dane County warrants.
Daily Blotter for February 7th 2023
- 11:25 am, Damage to Property, Lot 36. Contacted person for a Lot full sign that had been damaged in Lot 36 Entrance on 1/28/23.
- 1:15 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Wallet and contents (and $25 cash) returned to person after it was found and turned into UW Dispatch.
- 1:56 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 80. Contacted person who reported that on either February 2, 2023 between 7a-11a or February 3, 2023 between 7a and 7p their vehicle was struck in Lot 80, causing a dent and scrape to the driver’s side front wheel well area.
- 3:36 pm, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person regarding their electric scooter that was stolen from the Nicholas Recreation Center.
- 6:30 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person who was seeking treatment but upon arrival no longer wanted to go inside.
- 9:28 pm, Information, 333 East Campus Mall. Contacted person after being described as a potential theft suspect by 3rd party complainant.
