• 8:44 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, W. Mifflin & N. Carroll Streets. Assisted MPD/MFD with restraining suspect after they took an unknown drug.

• 7:40 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Observatory Dr & Highland Ave. Persons reported a crash occurred EB Observatory east of Highland. One cited for unsafe u-turn and verbally warned for obstructing.

• 12:10 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Memorial Union. Contacted persons after observing them laying under a white sheet underneath the overhang on the south side of the Memorial Library.
• 2:41 pm, Check Person, Lot 17. Cited person for UW Code Possession of Marijuana, verbally warned person for UW Code Possession of Paraphernalia and UW Code Play Vehicles; released to responsible party.
• 9:44 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, W. Gilman & State St.. Assisted MPD regarding a fight in progress outside 520 State Street.
• 10:26 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Marston Ave & E. Johnson St.. Assisted City of Madison PD with K9 Sniff of vehicle on traffic stop. Negative alert.

• 6:18 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Computer Science. Arrested/Cited/Transported to the Dane County Jail suspect for Trespass – Remain After Notice after they were reported by UW Custodial Staff to be present inside Computer Sciences.
• 9:27 am, Theft/Larceny, Upham Woods. Amerex, model #B417, red metal, 2.5lb, dry chemical fire extinguisher (Type A, B, & C), was stolen from mount on the tow bar on the back of the UWPD boat whaler, boat #19 btwn 07/02/23-07/08/23.
• 12:56 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Library Mall. Arrested/Cited/Transported suspect to Dane County Jail for Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct x2.
• 1:20 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported patient. No need for police contact.
• 1:21 pm, Follow-up, UWPD. Arrested/Cited/Transported to Dane County Jail suspect for theft (Misdemeanor x3/Felony x1) reference follow-up from cases previous cases.
• 4:00 pm, Other, UWPD. Request For Assistance - Contacted person who wanted to properly discard an air soft rifle.

• 1:07 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Dayton Street & N. Frances Street. Contacted/arrested person for OWI 1st. Cited for failure to obey traffic sign, failure to stop at stop sign (reason for stop), and PAC 1st.
• 1:19 am, Check Person, N Prospect Ave & University Ave. Contacted person after reports of them shouting profanities on University and Campus.
• 5:18 am, Check Person, Highland Ave & Marsh Terr . Contacted person regarding assistance in getting back to their residence.

• 9:21 pm, Check Person, Lot 46. Arrested/Cited/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for a failure to appear warrant issued by Sheboygan PD.
• 5:46 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, University Ave. Verbally warned person for inattentive driving. Person was traveling Westbound on University Ave. when they drove up onto a concrete barrier causing the vehicle to roll over. K9 Charlie deployed.

Arrested/Cited/Transported to Dane County Jail suspect for Felony Bail Jumping X2 after a traffic stop for operating without head lights lit (reason for stop) and cited for operating after revocation. Suspect also in possession of controlled substances in the trunk of the vehicle.
• 9:59 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Johnson & N. Frances Streets. Arrested/Cited/Released to Responsible Party suspect for OWI 1st, PAC 1st, and Driving Against Traffic – One way street (reason for stop).
• 12:39 am, Eluding, N. Frances & W. Dayton Streets. Attempted to stop vehicle for wrong way on one-way and violating a red traffic signal. Vehicle fled at high rate of speed inbound on W Dayton St from N Lake St. No pursuit.

• 7:18 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Union South. Arrested/Cited/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for trespass-remain after notice after he entered the building twice contrary to his ban and explicit officer instructions from earlier in the day.

• 5:45 pm, Information, UWPD. Contacted person who provided their personal information (social security number, address, etc.) to scammers via telephone.

• 6:05 pm, Damage to Property, Water Sciences. Building Manager reported flooding throughout the building that originated from a vent hood on the second floor.

• 11:59 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Washington Ave & Regent St.. Arrested/Cited/Released to Responsible party suspect for OWI 1st offense. Stopped/cited for unreasonable/imprudent speed .
• 1:46 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Responded out with SHPD and MPD after suspect grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened to kill themselves.

• 10:58 am, Found Property, Humanities Building. Found property abandoned outside a room in Humanities.
• 1:46 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted one of the building managers, and checked inside cash room. Confirmed no unauthorized persons inside, just left door open too long.
• 2:00 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Transported person to local hospital for pain.
• 2:49 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Field House. Contacted person regarding an elderly person who was injured outside the Field House.
• 3:18 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Responded to first floor reception area for panic alarm. Staff advised it was accidental, no emergencies.
