- 9:57 am, Information, UWPD. Contacted person reporting a scammer using the Office of Admissions desk phone number to contact random people attempting to obtain credit card information. No known victims or money lost at this time.
- 11:51 am, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person reporting their Air Pods Pro 2 stolen from Witte Hall.
- 12:19 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 2:23 pm, Found Property, Red Gym. Phone turned in by contractors at the Red Gym, phone entered into property for safekeeping.
- 6:35 pm, Theft/Larceny, Helen C. White Library. Contacted person who parked their bicycle outside Helen C. White on 12/18/2024 around 4:15pm and returned around 6:00pm, the bicycle and lock were gone.
- 10:24 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person who stated their friend attempted to harm him while at the Memorial Union and took off with their belongings on their bike.

Contacted/Verbally Warned persons for Trespass to Land - Remain After Notice after they were reported by Transportation Services loitering in the northeastern stairwell. One person was Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail for Felony Bail Jumping, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, carry a Concealed Knife, Possession/Illegally Obtained Prescriptions, and Parole Violation Hold. Other party released without incident.
- 8:48 am, Drug Violation, Local Hospital. Contacted person who opened letter that contacted residual white, powdery substance.
- 9:29 am, Other, Biochemical Sciences. Report pulled in error.

- 7:30 am, Graffiti, East Campus Mall Pedestrian Tunnel. Several graffiti tags in a variety of media.
- 7:34 am, Graffiti, Humanities Building. Located two sets of identical graffiti written in black marker in stairwell near elevator 3.
- 11:01 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, E. Buckeye Road. No information provided at time of briefing release.
- 11:05 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. No information provided at time of briefing release.
- 11:40 am, Information, McBurney Resource Center. Received a mandatory report from the Office of Admission.
- 12:57 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 46. Contacted by phone person who reported their vehicle was damaged while parked in Lot 46 lower level.
- 2:17 pm, Emergency Detention, Local Hospital. Contacted person with Journey Mental Health by telephone, who reported patient at local hospital was needing assistance due to mental health crisis.
- 2:49 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Request For Assistance - Assisted family and staff with Therapy K9 Deployment at local hospital.
- 5:51 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital for medical treatment.
- 8:46 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 63. Approached by Hospital Security after person reported they hit a parked car in lot 63.
- 1:01 am, Check Person, Lot 7. Contacted/Cited person for Trespass to Land - Remain After Notice after finding them sleeping in the northwestern stairwell.
- 2:19 am, Other, Lot 80. Check Suspicious Vehicle - Contacted & Verbally Warned person for possession of marijuana after persons saw the vehicle unoccupied in lot 80 with the door open and an odor of marijuana.

- 8:22 am, Criminal Damage, Lot 83. Viewed Security Camera footage of Lot 83 Exit 2 after Transportation Services reported vehicle drive through Exit gate 2 at 2:35 am on 12/15/24 damaging gate arm. Will attempt to follow up with Transportation Services.
- 6:53 pm, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person accusing another person of theft a of a pink curtain from a room they both occupy until 12/15. Per Housing, indicated persons need to settle matter civilly.
- 3:45 am, Warrant Served, Johnson & Brooks Streets. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Department of Corrections Warrant (Probation Violation Hold).
Daily Blotter for December 15th 2024
- 8:52 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Residence Hall. Housing staff reported person wandering around building. MPD arrived to assist with person who was listed as missing and reunited with family.
- 3:41 pm, Check Person, Local Hospital. Hospital security and medical staff called to report person left and conflicting reports from staff and person.
- 8:14 pm, Lost Property, UWPD. Person reported their Chinese Passport missing.
- 12:15 am, Other, Farley Ave. & Stevens St. Weapons Violation - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver of vehicle for Carrying Concealed Weapon, cited for unsafe lane deviation and possession of THC. Loaded firearm located under driver's seat. Small amount of MJ confiscated. Firearm entered into evidence and MJ disposed. Released passenger without issue.

- 8:43 am, Burglary, Residence Hall. Contacted person who reported their laptop and jacket were taken between 12/12 & 12/13.
- 12:00 pm, Graffiti, Law Building. Contacted person who reported graffiti to the interior of a bathroom stall.
- 2:06 pm, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person who reported clothes were stolen out of dryer.
- 2:21 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 75. Transportation Services advised vehicle drove through the Lot 75 Entrance Gate arm.
- 2:57 pm, Theft/Larceny, Humanities Building. Contacted person reporting their bike was stolen from a rack at the NE corner of Humanities.
- 9:30 pm, Eluding, Butler & Johnson Streets. Attempted to stop vehicle for unreasonable/imprudent speed. Vehicle eluded at high rate of speed southbound on N Butler St from W Johnson St. Vehicle then eluded a MPD unit moments after. Follow up to be continued.
- 1:36 am, Other, Basset St. & W. Washington Ave. Traffic Stop - Stopped vehicle for failure to obey traffic sign/signal (drove on State St). Odor of Marijuana and subsequent vehicle search conducted. Tiny pieces of marijuana spread around car. Verbally warned driver for traffic violation and possession of marijuana and verbally warned passenger for marijuana.
- 1:56 am, Other, University Ave. & Orchard St. Stopped/cited driver for violating a red traffic signal (Charter/University). Also verbally warned for operating without required lamps lighted.
Daily Blotter for December 13th 2024
- 11:12 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, Arboretum Drive. Incident occurred on 12/11 - did not make briefing sheet - Contacted person who was operating a vehicle and crashed on Arboretum Drive near Mills Street. The vehicle was totaled from the crash and found unoccupied. Driver located and arrested for OWI 2nd, bail jumping (felony), and operator failure to notify police of accident. Driver transported to local hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.

- 12:54 pm, Information, McBurney Resource Center. Received a mandatory report from the Office of Admission.
- 1:23 pm, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person who reported their bike stolen from the bike rack.

- 9:14 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Charter St. & Observatory Drive. Contacted persons whose vehicles collided on the hairpin turn on Observatory as both vehicles were making the turn in opposite directions.
- 12:46 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted Maple Bluff PD with a cell phone examination.
- 1:20 pm, Information, McBurney Resource Center. Received a mandatory report from the Office of Admission.
- 1:45 pm, Theft/Larceny, Holt Commons. Spoke to person about possible missing packages at the Holt Package Center.
- 1:47 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, University Ave. Assisted MPD with high risk stop of stolen vehicle, in which a battery occurred.
- 9:43 pm, Information, UWPD. Contacted person regarding potential request for a TRO.
- 10:35 pm, Other, S. Park St. & Braxton Place. Stopped/Cited person for operating while suspended and obstruction after they provided a fake name when they were stopped because the Registered Owner of the vehicle showed a suspended Drivers License.
- 11:12 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, Arboretum Drive. Incident ongoing at time of briefing release.
- 1:59 am, Fraud, Location Redacted. Contacted person who sent a sensitive photo to someone they didn’t know and were being threatened potential extortion.

- 2:44 pm, Theft/Larceny, MSC. Assisted person whose backpack containing their laptop was stolen from MSC.
- 3:41 pm, Theft/Larceny, HC White Library. Contacted person who reported their bike was stolen from the bike rack closest to the street.
- 3:49 pm, Information, McBurney Resource Center. Received a mandatory report from the Office of Admission.
- 5:52 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 11:50 pm, Bail Jumping, Location Redacted. Created Probable Cause Affidavit to arrest suspect for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping after they violated conditions of their release by having direct contact with victim.

- 6:56 pm, Fraud, Vilas Hall. Contacted person regarding possible fraudulent activity with donations.
- 11:28 pm, Other, Park & Braxton. Traffic Stop - Stopped & Verbally Warned person for Exceeding Posted Limit, odor of marijuana detected and unprompted admission of marijuana being previously smoked in the vehicle.
- 11:47 pm, Eluding, Charter& Dayton Streets. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect after being located in UW Building after UWPD attempted to stop vehicle, eluded traffic stop for improper turn, deviation from designated lane, and passing at an intersection.
- 12:42 am, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they reported their Uber Eats order had been stolen.
