- 5:49 pm, Other, University Ave & Walnut Street. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Verbally Warned driver for operating a motor vehicle without their seat belt and for operation of unregistered motor vehicle, cited for operating a motor vehicle with an open intoxicant and for Improper Use of Evidence of Registration, driver instructed to park the vehicle in a valid parking spot and not to drive the vehicle until they registered the vehicle.
- 10:25 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for disorderly conduct and bail jumping when person was causing a disturbance by trying to throw a table across the room, yelling loudly and kicking a door.

- 10:29 am, Theft/Larceny, Local Hospital. Contacted person regarding a patient’s phone stolen from their hospital room, investigation ongoing.
- 11:44 am, Information, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding emails received in their generic mailbox, nothing threatening or safety concerns at this time.
- 1:14 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 1:59 pm, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. Information desk received an anonymous call regarding potential “bomb threat” and similar calls also made to Henry Vilas Zoo, investigation ongoing.
- 4:58 pm, Other, Location Redacted. Contact with person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 12:43 am, Other, Mills Lot. Violation of Restraining Order - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Violating Domestic Abuse Injunction/order after contacting persons for closing hours-arboretum. Other person in vehicle released after verbally warned for closing hours violation.
- 2:10 am, Other, Regent & N. Brooks Streets. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Responsible party driver for OWI 1st, PAC 1st and Speed 21 Over posted limit.

- 9:27 am, Graffiti, Water Sciences. Photographed two areas of Graffiti on/near Water science building.
- 2:17 pm, Theft/Larceny, Noland Hall. Contacted person who reported their bike and lock was stolen from the east side bike racks of Noland Hall.

- 6:22 am, Found Property, UWPD. A wallet was turned into dispatch and attempts to contact the owner were made and were unsuccessful, item placed into safekeeping if owner contacts UWPD.
- 10:01 am, Found Property, Red Gym. Phone turned into Dispatch, unknown owner, attempted identity retrieval without success, item placed into safekeeping if owner contacts UWPD.
- 10:40 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Responded to a medical call and was told we could disregard by MFR.
- 1:08 pm, Sensitive Crime, Location Redacted. Contacted person reporting sensitive crime.
- 1:13 pm, Theft/Larceny, University Houses. Received email from person reporting their bike stolen from outside University Houses.
- 3:02 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person after a forced door alarm, contact with person states was accidental and the door was propped.
- 3:34 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported patient to local hospital, no further police assistance needed.
- 6:29 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person regarding theft of their backpack at Memorial Union, suspects identified, investigation ongoing.
- 2:40 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, N. Brooks St. & University Ave. Contacted person after they were found ill in the backseat of an Uber and placed into PC, transported to local hospital due to incapacitation from alcohol, cited for UAL 1st.

- 1:29 pm, Damage to Property, MSC. Contacted building manager regarding water leak that started on roof and made its way to basement.
- 2:22 pm, Other, Local Hospital. Contacted person regarding incident with employee at local hospital, investigation ongoing at time of briefing release.
- 2:47 pm, Other, Lake Mendota/LRAS Rescue. Assisted with capsized catamaran just east picnic point, MFD and Dane County Sheriff also on scene, catamaran has been returned to the dock with 2 sailors.
- 7:03 pm, Damage to Property, East Campus Mall. Contacted person after they reported damage to the wall north of the east entrance. Hole appears to be caused by a punch or kick to the wall.
- 9:52 pm, Resisting Arrest, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for UW Code Possession of Dangerous Weapon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting an Officer, Parole Hold and Carrying a Concealed Knife.
- 10:35 pm, Domestic, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Disorderly Conduct (Domestic) and Battery (Domestic) after they were involved in a dispute the prior day with another person, 72 hour no contact enforced and explained to victim.
- 2:22 am, Information, Arboretum. Observed the Arboretum Flock camera was laying on the ground.

- 3:14 pm, Other, LRAS Facility. Checking wind speed before reopening.
- 7:33 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited person for Trespass to Land Remain After Notice.
- 11:31 pm, Other, Wingra Lot. Suspicious Vehicle - Contacted/Cited person for possession of drug paraphernalia and open intoxicants, verbally warned for closing hours, intoxicated not incapacitated, vehicle legally parked in lot and transported to a safe location.

- 12:26 pm, Theft/Larceny, Alumni House. Person reporting their bike was stolen from outside the Alumni house, helmet was also with bike when stolen and was located on Langdon Street and returned to owner.
- 6:29 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person reporting a bike was stolen from outside the Memorial Union.
- 3:01 am, Other, Monroe & Woodrow. Traffic Stop – Stopped vehicle/Verbally Warned driver for Stopping or Standing on Crosswalk and Operating Left of Center.
Daily Blotter for June 27th 2026
- 12:10 pm, Found Property, Humanities Building. Money found, no identification and placed into safekeeping if owner comes forward.
- 12:11 pm, Disorderly Conduct, UWPD. Contacted/Cited person for Crossing at Place Other Than Crosswalk, Verbally Warned for Disorderly Conduct after they had failed to use the crosswalk when crossing Monroe St., from the Kwik Trip, to return to their vehicle after a confrontation with a driver on Monroe St going westbound brought them into UWPD where both parties were arguing and both interviewed separately. Person crossing Monroe Street was issued citations and released without further incident.
- 12:39 pm, Warrant Served, Location Redacted. Executed search warrant.
- 9:05 pm, Other, Bascom Hall. Cited persons for Unauthorized presence of building roof. Both set off alarm and were contacted as they made their way down.
- 10:31 pm, Graffiti, Lot 46. Person called in graffiti in the lower-level, southeast stairwell.
- 12:27 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, W. Dayton & N. Mills Streets. Contacted/Cited persons for UAL 1st after one was found urinating near the train tracks on the north side of Lot 45 / near the intersection of W. Dayton Street / N. Mills Street. Strong odor of intoxicants and slurred speech from both individuals. Verbally warned for Fake ID’s (confiscated/destroyed).

- 2:10 pm, Information, Local Hospital. Contacted person regarding sensitive crime of patient at local hospital.
- 2:37 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR requested assistance with patient who fell and hit their head, was very disoriented, and did not want to go to the hospital, MFR able to get patient to go to local hospital without police assistance.
- 6:48 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Observatory Drive & Park Street. Contacted person stating their vehicle was struck by UW Fleet vehicle and suspect vehicle left scene without reporting damage even no damage to either vehicle, investigation ongoing with suspect department leadership.
- 7:04 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 8:36 pm, Graffiti, Lot 7. Located graffiti took pictures.
- 10:29 pm, Other, Location Redacted. Contacted person reporting incident between family members, no further action taken.
- 12:34 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Assisted outside agency with the search of person experiencing mental health crisis.

- 6:52 am, Damage to Property, Elvehjem Museum. Responded to the Elvehjem for significant flooding in the lower level.
- 1:45 pm, Fraud, Eagle Heights. Contacted person regarding their assistance with publishing documents and paying them to find out suspected fraud.
- 6:41 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Bakke Recreation Center. Contacted person who reported being struck by a MV in the leg when walking in the crosswalk at Observatory and Colwood, no injuries, denied EMS.
- 11:08 pm, Other, Lot 130. Verbally warned persons in parked vehicle for closing hours violation, vehicle released without incident.
