Daily Blotter for May 26th 2026
- 12:53 am, Check Person, N. Lake St. & University Ave. Cited for County Resist/Obstruct after brief foot pursuit. Attempted to contact person after they impeded traffic/walked against solid red pedestrian signal and caused an MFD Ambulance to abruptly stop.
- 1:12 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Lot 63. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for speed, improper right turn, and OWI 1st, verbally warned for small amount of THC and 12 hour hold due to noncompliance. Vehicle remained legally parked in Lot 63.
- 3:43 am, Other, Agricultural Hall. Contacted person after security reported them sleeping in the student lounge, person cited for closing hours violation.
Daily Blotter for May 25th 2026
- 6:50 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Assisted outside agency with an OWI blood draw at local hospital after patient was brought in for medical treatment.
- 11:10 pm, Other, McKay Lot. Closing Hours Violation - Contacted persons in vehicle for closing hours violation, cited driver for possess open intoxicants and both verbally warned for closing hours violation. Alcohol disposed of on scene.
- 1:33 am, Other, University & Randall Ave. Traffic Stop – Contact made with driver due to vehicle operating in bike lane, red light violation, and for passenger opening door and vomiting while moving. Contacted/Cited/Released passenger for UAL 1st, also verbally warned for obstructing.
- 1:54 am, Other, Campus Drive & University Ave. Attempted traffic stop on three E-Motorbikes on University Near Randall for all three having no lights. No visible registration plates.

- 8:04 am, Found Property, Vet Med. Contacted persons and returned many personal belongings found outside by Vet Med staff on 05/22/2026. Unable to contact another person’s personal belongings also found by Vet Med Staff on 04/15/2026 and placed into property for safe keeping until able to make contact with owner.
- 9:34 pm, Information, Eagle Heights. Contact with person who reported concerns about odor of marijuana coming from a residence since mid-April. Reports noticing it on weekends in the morning and evening. Looking for assistance on how to mitigate issue and provided information. Information shared with Eagle Heights Community Officer.

- 6:08 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, E. Johnson Street. Assisted outside agencies with person experiencing medical emergency.
- 8:19 am, Theft/Larceny, Carson Gulley. Contacted persons after they were observed on video taking a portable AC unit and a laptop from the abandoned property at Carson Gully. Items returned to owner and charges not pursued.
- 10:59 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Contacted person regarding their vehicle being hit in Lot 75.
- 5:07 pm, Other, Animal Sciences Building. Report number pulled in error.
- 9:45 pm, Drug Violation, W. Lakeside & S. Park Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped vehicle for non-registration of auto, cited for operating while suspended, verbally warned for possession of drug paraphernalia. Verbally warned passenger for possession of THC. Drugs and paraphernalia seized/disposed of.
- 10:38 pm, Warrant Served, S. Park St. & W. Olin Ave. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for imprudent speed, expired registration, failure to follow indicated turn, and unsafe cutting in when passing, felony warrant from Lafayette Co for failure to report to jail. Cited for imprudent speed, unsafe cutting in when passing, and operating a motorcycle without valid license. Motorcycle and property left with responsible party.
- 12:01 am, Warrant Served, University Ave. & N. Orchard St. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for Improper Left Turn, Stinger II deployed when the driver left initial stop location, DOC Parole Violation Warrant.
- 2:10 am, Eluding, N. Bassett & W. Dayton Streets. Attempted to stop vehicle for speed, failure to stop at stop sign, suspended registration, reckless driving, violate red traffic signal. Vehicle fled after given lights and siren SB on N Lake St turning EB on W Dayton St where we ended pursuit, investigation ongoing.
- 2:33 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Gillman & State Street. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Arrested/Released with Citation driver for Failure to Stop at Stop Sign and Operating While Impaired after driver failed to stop for a stop sign and went around a traffic barricade, driver un-arrested for OWI given intox/PBT result.

- 11:20 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person during medical emergency, MFR transported to local hospital.
- 9:47 pm, Warrant Served, Lot 17. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for a Columbia County bench warrant after they were reported in the stairwell drinking alcohol, verbally warned for Trespass to Land - Remain After Notice and UW Alcoholic Beverages.

- 1:56 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person after their friends were concerned regarding their wellbeing – MFR transported person to local hospital for medical treatment.
- 2:10 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 5. Person reported their vehicle was damaged in Lot 5.
- 5:57 pm, Theft/Larceny, Lot 6. Contacted person after they had items taken from their vehicle. Vehicle was left unlocked ***UPDATE*** Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for theft and possess drug paraphernalia when they were connected to this theft case, Outside agency issued citations for unrelated incidents as well.
- 2:05 am, Found Property, UWPD. AT&T Smart Phone turned in by UWPD security.
Daily Blotter for May 20th 2026
- 7:11 am, Fraud, Eagle Heights. Contacted person who advised they received a phone call from ICE indicating he needed to pay a $1500 bond or face deportation, numbers came up “real”, obtained gift cards per requests, realized was a scam when callers requested more money in Apple gift cards, put holds on cards to try and get some funds returned due to scam.
- 9:24 am, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person whose bike was stolen from southeast bike rack at main entrance.
- 12:41 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Local Hospital. Contacted/Cited patient for Disorderly Conduct for threats made during treatment/assessment, released to person who brought them to local hospital.
- 4:02 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital for medical treatment.
- 9:22 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Tablet found and turned into dispatch, entered into property for safekeeping.
- 11:43 pm, Bail Jumping, Local Hospital. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping after they returned to the Emergency Department despite being discharged and previously escorted off property by Police and should not be at any of the treating facilities per open Dane County case.

- 3:58 am, Other, W. Washington Ave. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Possession with intent to deliver Cocaine, Possession with intent to deliver heroin and Felony Bail Jumping.
- 7:35 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Person reported a hit and run to their vehicle.
- 9:47 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, N. Mills. Contacted person who was backing up vehicle and backed into an unoccupied Physical Plant vehicle, damage to parked vehicle only.
- 10:15 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Assisted outside agencies regarding medical call.
- 10:26 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted outside agency with one cell phone examination.
- 11:39 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Door secure, likely caused by lab staff moving stuff.
- 12:50 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted staff who advised a hose got stuck in the door preventing it from shutting and triggering the door alarm, hose removed, door closed, no further action.
- 1:39 pm, Theft/Larceny, Dejope. Contacted person reporting their bike was stolen outside Dejope.
- 5:16 pm, Graffiti, Lot 2. Located Graffiti on the rear of a dumpster in the rear of the building in Lot 2.
- 8:42 pm, Check Person, Memorial Union. Contacted persons regarding a patron who was asked to take their bike off of the Memorial Union Terrace and refused to lock their bike up. Person became upset before leaving the area. PC for UW DC, will attempt to locate.
- 11:21 pm, Other, Brooks & Regent Streets. Traffic Stop - Contacted/Cited for OAR and IID violation Criminal and Verbally Warned for speed, vehicle left legally parked.
- 11:34 pm, Check Person, Lot 46. Cited person for trespass remain after notice after call from persons reporting them in the stairwell where they were not supposed to be.
- 12:40 am, Bail Jumping, University Ave & Brooks Street. Traffic Stop - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Felony Bail Jumping and Possession of Cocaine, cited for OAR, IID violation and operate after suspension of registration.
- 1:42 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Conducted brief interview of person at the request of outside agency and passed information from interview onto outside agency.

- 10:33 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 76. Contacted Transportation Services regarding struck gate arm. Follow up to be conducted.
Daily Blotter for May 17th 2026
- 5:00 pm, Other, Merit House. Check Area - Disposed of abandoned property near railroad tracks behind Merit House, items had been previously tagged by UWPD for deadline of 5/16/2026, placed into safekeeping.
- 5:44 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Transported person to local hospital and released to staff without incident.
- 10:41 pm, Other, France Street & University Ave. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping x 2. Cited for OAR and IID violation. Initially stopped and verbally warned for improper display of registration, and found to have bail conditions to not have contact with passenger.
- 2:24 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person after they were seen laying on the ground and vomiting. Transported to local hospital, transferred custody to hospital staff due to incapacitation of alcohol.
- 2:24 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Regent & Brooks Street. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party for OWI 1st and speed, vehicle legally parked.
