1:54 pm, Other, Lake Mendota. LRAS Boathouse Rescue - Capsized Sloop off of Picnic Point. Recovered five people from the water and one from a nearby boat that was on scene.
6:59 pm, Theft/Larceny, Water Science. Person reported their bicycle light stolen off their bicycle at the Water Science building.
12:14 am, Bail Jumping, Memorial Library. Contacted person for camping, verbally warned for bail jumping and camping.
2:00 am, Other, Labahn Arena. Contacted/To cite upon next contact person for UW Depositing Human Waste after they were observed urinating on UWPD Security Cameras despite being told less than an hour prior that Police were aware they had been doing this to University Buildings in the past. Citation to be delivered upon next sighting of said person.

2:49 am, Eluding, W. Dayton & N. Park Streets. ***Added Dispo from previous day’s briefing*** Attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at red light x3 and failure to stop at stop sign. Vehicle eluded, did not pursue.
2:59 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Regent & N. Mills Streets. ***Added Dispo from previous day’s briefing*** Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver for OWI, PAC and stopping/standing on a crosswalk.
6:27 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Gave person a ride home after they were located by staff intoxicated.
12:15 pm, Warrant Served, HC White Library. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect on three warrants, after building staff reported they were on the 5th floor, ban letter issued.
8:13 pm, Check Person, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited person for UWS Disorderly Conduct and told not to return to Union property for the night.
8:51 pm, Other, Monroe Street. Obstructing - Kwik Trip - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Resisting Officer, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping x5, and Attempted Battery to Law Enforcement Officer after they were spotted within the UW Madison ban area contrary to their conditions for release.
12:03 am, Other, Nakoma Rd. & Spring Trail. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Verbally Warned driver for operating MV with defective lamps, cited for OAR and operating without IID. Vehicle parked in a valid parking spot.
12:21 am, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contact with person found laying in the grass and checked their welfare, cited for UAL.
12:41 am, Other, Regent St. & N. Breeze Terrace. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Contacted/Verbally Warned driver for UAL and verbally warned for open container on the street.
1:16 am, Other, Langdon & N. Lake Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped driver for improper left turn x2. Cited driver for operating MV without DL and possession of THC. Verbally warned driver & passenger for not wearing a seatbelt.

6:21 am, Check Person, Location Redacted. Detained person after they became very aggressive, follow up to be conducted.
2:32 pm, Other, Eagle Heights. Contacted person who reported receiving IRS Forms in the mail in July, which informed them to file a police report and notify their financial institutions due to being a victim of identity theft.
3:27 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital for medical emergency, police arrived on scene to assist.
11:22 pm, Bail Jumping, Union South. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect with 2 open Dane County cases with bail conditions to not be on the UW campus. Arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping x2. Verbally warned for possession of THC.
12:48 am, Other, Fish Hatchery Rd. & Martin Street. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Verbally Warned driver for displaying unauthorized plates. Cited for possession of marijuana/THC.

1:49 pm, Graffiti, Humanities Building. Graffiti poster pasted onto wall near Art 2 doors.
4:32 pm, Information, East Campus Mall. Contacted person regarding concerning emails their office received today, received from two different accounts but sent by the same person, follow up with Community Officer and fraternity listed in emails.
4:39 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Cell phone found located outside of the Kohl Center and turned into the UWPD Dispatch. Tried to identify owner with no success phone placed into UWPD Property for safekeeping.
5:24 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Observatory Drive & N. Park Street. Contacted persons who were involved in a crash on Observatory drive at the hairpin. MFR transported person to local hospital due to injuries they received from crash as they were riding an electric scooter.
9:56 pm, Eluding, N. Park & Langdon Streets. Attempted to stop a motorcycle for no license plate at N Park and Langdon. Driver turned right onto Langdon, briefly stopped, then accelerated and headed east on Langdon St.
11:21 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited for UW Disorderly Conduct. Person placed into protective custody due to alcohol incapacitation and transported to local hospital.
12:26 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted/Placed into protective custody due to alcohol incapacitation and transported to local hospital, two false ID’s seized/disposed of.

10:53 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 17. Contacted person who accidentally drove their vehicle into the gate arm, pole, and RFID reader upon entry into the parking ramp, RO and passenger remained on-scene and cooperated with TS and UWPD.
2:20 pm, Theft/Larceny, Smith Hall. Contacted person who reported their backpack with various personal items stolen from their work vehicle.
4:02 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted by security regarding a person experiencing a mental health crisis.

9:41 am, Graffiti, Humanities Building. The hallway is currently vacant but was part of the history department that has moved where the Graffiti was located.
2:54 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Contacted person who was legally parked on the 5th level A and their vehicle was struck and the vehicle that hit them left the scene, vehicle and RO known, will attempt contact RO.
3:09 pm, Theft/Larceny, Cole Hall. Contacted person regarding theft of their bike that was stolen from Cole Hall.
2:18 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Memorial Union. Assisted outside agency with resistive subject, subject in custody upon our arrival, assisted on scene as needed, subject transported to local hospital via MFR.

1:31 pm, Graffiti, Humanities Building. Graffiti reported in hallway near southwest stairwell.
5:28 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital experiencing medical emergency.
5:46 pm, Sensitive Crime, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Disorderly Conduct and Lewd and Lascivious behavior.
6:59 pm, Theft/Larceny, Witte Hall. Contacted person after they reported their bike stolen from the northwest bike racks.

9:53 pm, Drug Violation, Memorial Union. Contacted/Verbally Warned persons for UW Possession of Marijuana after observing them smoking.
10:40 pm, Check Person, Bascom Mall. Person was observed by security sleeping on the bottom Bascom Mall steps, verbal warning issued for camping, then an additional contact was made after person was seen exposing themselves and depositing human waste then issued a citation for UWS Chapter 18 Deposit of Human Waste.
3:35 am, Other, N. Park Street & University Ave. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for two out of county warrants for Theft <= $2500, Criminal Trespass to Dwelling, and Criminal Damage to Property.

12:06 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported patient to local hospital who was experiencing a medical emergency.
7:21 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Gardener Road. Assisted outside agency with clearing a construction site on Gardener Rd after security company called, K9 Teo performed a building search and cleared the first and second floors. UWPD drone cleared the rest of the building. Unable to locate suspect during search.
8:56 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Alumni House. Arrested/Released with Citation person for UW Disorderly Conduct after they were initially reported as attacking persons. Investigation revealed no actual battery took place.
12:51 am, Check Person, Picnic Point. Drone deployment to check the area of a bike that was located in the area.

5:49 pm, Information, LRAS Assist. Individuals do not need assistance and will make their way back to Hoofers.
1:09 am, Other, W. Johnson & N. Broom Streets. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released driver to a responsible driver after contact was made when driving going the wrong way. Driver arrested/cited for absolute sobriety, failure to obey traffic sign/signal, open intoxicants and UAL 1st. Vehicle parked on scene.

2:52 am, Other, W. Gorham & N. Broom Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Arrested/Released with Citations to Responsible Party driver for failure to Obey Official Traffic Sign, Operating While Impaired (1st), Operating With Prohibited Alcohol Concentration, and UAL (1st).
