Daily Blotter for June 16th 2026
- 9:56 am, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted person needing support and transportation.
- 9:52 am, Graffiti, Lot 2. Documented graffiti (spray paint light blue, red, black) on two walls on the north side of upper parking lot. Also note, graffiti on back of dumpster.
- 1:31 pm, Theft/Larceny, Humanities Building. Contacted by telephone person who reported their bike and cable lock stolen from bike racks on the west side of Humanities.
- 1:41 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted/Transported to Luke House person who is in need of support and assisting with resources.
- 3:28 pm, Found Property, Memorial Union. Contacted person after they reported their cell phone stolen from the Memorial Union, after further investigation phone was located by a Custodian and brought to the Information Desk for safe keeping, phone turned over to UWPD and can be picked up from UWPD by owner at a later date.
- 7:15 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 76. Contacted person after they struck a cement bollard entering Lot 76 in a state owned vehicle.

- 5:49 am, Death Investigation, Location Redacted. Responded to a report of a person needing medical assistance, unfortunately person was declared deceased.
- 10:08 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 5:41 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, University Ave. Assisted outside agency in arresting suspect for Strong Armed Robbery (Attempted) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- 8:26 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Assisted local hospital due to medical emergency from another county.
- 1:55 am, Damage to Property, Steinbock Library. Contacted custodial staff after reports of water leakage in the basement.
Daily Blotter for June 14th 2026
- 4:30 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, W. Gilman & State Streets. Responded to assist MPD with a disturbance on Gilman St. Disturbance turned into shots fired by suspect. Assisted in searching the area with outside agency, suspect taken into custody after being located via drone, scene processed by outside agency.
- 11:11 am, Other, University Bay Drive & Walnut Street. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Verbally Warned driver for Failure to Yield to pedestrian in crosswalk, cited for misdemeanor OAR, vehicle towed by Schmidt’s.
- 9:40 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person after they walked into oncoming traffic on W. Johnson St. near East Campus Mall. Transported to local hospital due to intoxication/incapacitation due to alcohol.
- 10:43 pm, Other, Memorial Union. Cited person for UW code unauthorized presence after they were seen by staff and on camera on Memorial Union property, ban letter enforced, citation issued/released without incident.
- 2:20 am, Operating While Intoxicated, N. Park & W. Johnson Streets. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for failure to obey red light, OWI 1st, PAC 1st, operator violate red light, and operator not wear seatbelt.

- 11:16 am, Other, University Houses. Contacted by telephone person who reported their passports were missing and never arrived. Needed report number for new passports.
- 4:20 pm, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. Contacted person stating they were receiving harassing and threatening emails regarding their research, investigation ongoing.
- 6:36 pm, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. Contacted person receiving calls with threats to facility, investigation ongoing.

- 7:35 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital experiencing medical emergency.
- 12:37 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Transported person to local hospital due to incapacitation from alcohol, cited for UAL 1st.

- 11:33 am, Other, Location Redacted. Spoke by telephone to person who reported seeing a vehicle stop and possibly doing something related to an upcoming demonstration.
- 11:37 am, Check Person, Vet. Med South. Contacted/Detained/Verbally warned person for Disorderly Conduct and operating a play vehicle where prohibited after they were riding erratically on the sidewalks. Person educated regarding on sidewalks, and items were seized and disposed of at UWPD.
- 12:26 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR made contact and cleared person of medical concerns and person taken home by family.
- 1:05 pm, Warrant Served, Lot 63. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for two Waukesha County Warrants for failure to appear, after they were refusing to leave local hospital after being medically cleared for discharge.
- 2:18 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital after bike crash on bike path W side of building.
- 4:27 pm, Criminal Damage, Local Hospital. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety (F), interfering with a fire alarm (F), interfering with firefighting equipment (M), criminal damage to property >$2500 (F), and disorderly conduct (M).
- 9:46 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Goodman Diamond. Contacted person after Security reported them behaving in a manner that was unsafe towards opposing team and umpires and smashing personal belongings. Person intoxicated, cited for UW Disorderly Conduct, left area without issue.
- 1:56 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contact with person experiencing mental health crisis.

- 7:01 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 17. Contacted person regarding their vehicle being struck in Lot 17 overnight.
- 8:21 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding patient experiencing mental health crisis.
- 8:25 am, Follow-up, Location Redacted. Follow-up to missing person’s case, persons found, no further action at this time.
- 9:45 am, Damage to Property, Eagle Heights. Contacted person reporting damage to a tree in the area of EH940 and replacement of tree is high value within 1-2 years.

- 1:27 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, University Ave/Metro Market. Assisted outside agency with location, foot pursuit and apprehension of retail theft and battery suspect from Metro Market, suspect was located underneath a vehicle behind the new Mexican grocery store on University Ave and Hill St, suspect fled on foot and was apprehended on Shorewood Blvd.
- 4:11 pm, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding voicemail they received on phone line that was thought to be concerning however it was determined no threatening remarks were made.
- 4:17 pm, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. Contacted person who reported some threats/harassment over social media related to Ridglan Farms, report number pulled for informational purposes and requested to contact us if more messages are received.
- 7:59 pm, Found Property, Humanities Building. Located empty/unopened cans of alcohol in room, along with a wallet and money, attempting to return property, owner not reached and property placed into safekeeping until owner located.
- 8:02 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Contacted person as their parked vehicle had been struck by another vehicle and had minor damage to the driver's side rear panel.
- 9:39 pm, Bail Jumping, Nicholas Recreation Center. Cited person for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, verbally warned them for possessing open alcohol containers in public as one person does has bail conditions to not possess or consume alcohol, released without issue.
- 10:48 pm, Other, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding missing persons, investigation ongoing.
- 4:21 am, Other, W. Dayton Street. Cleared building after house was found with smoke detector sounding and door open, outside agency advised UWPD to handle.

- 2:35 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Union South. Cited/Contacted/Transported Home person for UAL 1st. Detox evaluation conducted, intoxicated not incapacitated, verbally warned for False ID (confiscated/destroyed).
- 6:51 pm, Found Property, Memorial Union. Contacted staff regarding items found on the terrace, entered into property for safekeeping.

- 8:34 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 1:05 pm, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for four arrest warrants, after they were reported stealing a gray E-Scooter that was locked at a bike rack at the Nicholas Recreation Center, scooter was found and returned to owner.
- 8:32 pm, Check Person, Memorial Union. Contacted/Arrested/Cited/Released suspect for Trespass to Land-Remain After Notice and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (County) after observed them in the Union contrary to their campus ban.
- 10:28 pm, Check Person, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for violating parole (possession of alcohol), verbally warned for possession of alcohol on university grounds.
- 11:56 pm, Check Person, Library Mall. Contacted/Verbally Warned/Released suspect for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (County) after observing paraphernalia in plain view within their while they were sleeping on Library Mall.
- 2:01 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Lot 29. Assisted outside agency with locating a vehicle that eluded from them with speeds of excess of 70+mph and reckless driving, vehicle parked in Lot 29, outside agency conducted stop and transport.
- 3:17 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Frances Street Ramp. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver arrested for OWI 1st, verbally warned for possess THC, possess open intoxicant, non-registration of auto, operating w/out required lamps, and operating w/out valid license.
