- 8:16 am, Other, Local Hospital. Request For Assistance - Contacted person regarding stalking complaint from a co-worker, supervisor and HR involved.
 - 3:25 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Found property CFS passed on from 1st shift patrol. One steel blue color samsung cell phone. Unable to locate owner, item placed into safekeeping.
 - 9:24 pm, Battery, W. Gilman St. & University Ave. Contacted persons after one was punched and pepper sprayed in the gravel pit lot off of W Gilman St, investigation ongoing.
 - 11:12 pm, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing a mental health crisis.
 - 1:03 am, Other, Tent Colony Lot. Suspicious Vehicle - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party person for UAL 1st after finding them sleeping in a vehicle with open container of alcohol and both admitted they had been drinking.
 - 4:13 am, Other, Camp Randall. Fire Alarm - Responded to Camp Randall with MFD for a fire alarm. After searching the south endzone area a fire system leak was located in Victory Hall level B. The leak caused major damage to the ceiling drywall.

- 7:31 am, Graffiti, East Campus mall. Responded to a complaint for graffiti on cement pillar outside of 333 E Campus Mall .
 - 10:44 pm, Other, N. Park & W. Dayton Streets. Stopped/Cited/Released driver for criminal Operating After Revocation, vehicle legally parked in Merit House Parking Lot.

- 3:59 pm, Found Property, HSLC. Found small brown purse and attempted to return at residence, item placed into safekeeping.
 - 8:28 pm, Information, UWPD. Contacted person regarding personal information and potential stalker/harassment case.
 - 12:25 am, Theft/Larceny, W. Johnson & W. Carroll Streets. Motor Vehicle Theft - Stopped a vehicle during a high-risk traffic stop for operating w/o lamps lit during hours of darkness, driver identified themselves but photos and NCIC information did not match, vehicle fled with passenger inside. Passenger was found while checking the area for vehicle and stated the driver took the vehicle without their consent, vehicle entered into NCIC as stolen.
 - 1:43 am, Check Person, Local Hospital. Contacted person after being discharged from hospital emergency room and refusing to leave, transported person to their residence.

- 7:07 am, Damage to Property, Material Sciences. Contacted person for a window broken by rock in room 105 E.
 - 7:46 pm, Graffiti, Lot 46. Contacted person after they observed graffiti sprayed on the top level of Lot 46 on a concrete ledge on the NE side.
 - 1:19 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, University Ave & Midvale Blvd. Assisted SHPD in reference to OWI case.
 
Daily Blotter for July 9th 2025
- 11:21 am, Information, Local Hospital. Called person and took report of possible Disorderly Conduct and/or lewd and lascivious behavior.
 - 4:20 pm, Damage to Property, Memorial Union. Called person for damage to their triple decker pontoon boat that occurred when their unoccupied boat crashed into Goodspeed pier when in the water.
 - 4:32 pm, Found Property, Union South. Contacted person who reported a large black bag on a table on the eastern side of Union South outside of the Hotel entrance unattended for several hours. Bag searced and drug paraphernalia discovered and removed, other items left with Union South lost and found along with UWPD business card left with bag.
 - 8:26 pm, Other, Lakeside Street. Traffic Stop - Stopped driver for failure to obey red light, verbally warned for possession of THC.
 - 10:46 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person reporting a bag containing various clothing and a blue gray sleeping bag and 2 gray liners was taken from Memorial Union without consent.

- 10:31 am, Theft/Larceny, Tripp Hall. Contacted person after they reported their E-Bike stolen .
 - 11:43 am, Graffiti, Van Hise Hall. Responded to a report of Graffiti in the on the 1st floor of Van Hise Hall, 7 of the 8 stalls had graffiti on them.
 - 12:43 pm, Graffiti, Lot 46. Contact UWPD security after reporting graffiti on the 3rd floor east side of the ramp.
 - 12:35 pm, Graffiti, Life Saving Station/W. Gilman Street. Contacted UWPD staff who reported graffiti on walls and signs on the northern slope of the hill to the east of the main building, on and in, the area of the gas tank.
 - 4:22 pm, Graffiti, W. Dayton & N. Mills Streets. Contacted person at the bus stop on W Dayton and N Mills reporting graffiti.
 - 6:45 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Caller reporting an individual that crashed their bike at the intersection, disregarded by MFR who was on scene when we arrived.
 - 6:56 pm, Other, Memorial Union. Report pulled in error.
 - 7:07 pm, Found Property, Memorial Union. Found property and placed into property for safekeeping.
 - 8:15 pm, Graffiti, Humanities Building. Located graffiti discovered by UWPD Security on third level deck, south facing alcove remnant of walkway across University Ave.
 - 8:21 pm, Bail Jumping, W. Johnson & N. Charter Streets. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for bail jumping (x3) after observing them on Johnson St near Mills Street following others and asking for money.
 - 10:32 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted by hospital staff regarding person potentially experiencing a mental health crisis.
 - 11:23 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, W. Gilman & State Streets. Assisted Madison PD with a physical disturbance on 400 BLK of State St and contacted person who advised they were the victim of a battery and criminal damage however, refused medical treatment.

 - 2:38 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFD transported person experiencing medical emergency.
 - 2:45 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Cell phone found and entered into property.
 - 3:21 pm, Theft/Larceny, Helen C. White. Contacted person who reported their backpack was stolen from the Hoofer's area.
 - 3:36 pm, Battery, Location Redacted. Called Captain from Oak Hill Correctional Institution regarding Battery by Prisoner to multiple DOC Officers while in the DOC secure unit at local hospital to file police report.
 - 3:53 pm, Found Property, Location Redacted. Officer approached by a passerby who found property along shoreline, entered into property.
 - 11:21 pm, Drug Violation, Memorial Library. Contacted/Verbally Warned person and their four-legged friend for Unauthorized Picnicking and Camping, UW Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and UW Possession of Marijuana.
 - 12:47 am, Other, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail person after they refused to leave local emergency room after being given several verbal warnings to leave the area, person cited for trespass to lands – remain after notice.

 - 9:07 am, Found Property, Lincoln & Jefferson Streets. Red I-phone with a blue phone case was turned into the UWPD, packaged and placed into safekeeping.
 - 9:16 am, Theft/Larceny, Kronshage Commons . Contacted person who reported their Giant Rincon bike stolen from Kronshage Hall.
 - 9:44 am, Found Property, UWPD. No information provided at time of briefing release.
 - 11:20 pm, Other, Vilas Hall. Building - Closing Hours Violation - Contacted/Cited person for Closed Hours - Building after UWPD Security located and escorted them out of the building during its closed period.
 - 12:02 am, Other, Lot 91. Contacted/Verbally Warned person for City Depositing Human Waste.
 - 12:54 am, Check Person, Limnology Laboratory. Contacted persons after being observed lighting off large fireworks, one person fled, later detained, persons cited for UW Code Possession of Fireworks. Confiscated large fireworks roman candles, mortar tubes and two mortar rounds.
 - 2:21 am, Burglary, Location Redacted. Assisted SHPD with reported burglary in progress.
 - 2:39 am, Other, Kohl Center. Liquor Law Violations - Contacted and verbally warned driver for open intoxicants in motor vehicle and operating with suspended registration. Also cited passenger possess open intoxicants in motor vehicle.
 - 5:11 am, Other, Local Hospital. Arrested/Cited/Released person with trespass to land citation after they refused to leave hospital emergency room after being discharged.

 - 8:21 am, Graffiti, Madison Community Tower. Observed a graffiti markings on the entrance sign, unclear what the graffiti says.
 - 9:14 am, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. SHPD Threat Complaint investigation ongoing.
 - 9:14 am, Theft/Larceny, Cole Hall. Contacted person regarding theft of bike.
 - 1:31 pm, Other, Soil Science. Report pulled in error.
 - 3:36 pm, Theft/Larceny, Chamberlain Hall. Contacted person via phone about reported bike theft on west side of Chamberlin Hall.
 - 10:26 pm, Resisting Arrest, E. Johnson & N. Butler Streets . Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to local hospital prior to transport to Dane County Jail suspect for misdemeanor bail jumping, resisting and probation hold/violation, verbally warned for registration, possession of THC and open intoxicants.
 - 11:08 pm, Bail Jumping, University Ave. & Henry Mall. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for violation of bail condition to not be driving a vehicle without a valid license.
 - 11:18 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, University Ave. & N. Orchard Street . Responded to a 2 vehicle crash with a vehicle on fire. Extinguished car fire before contacted vehicle's occupants. In one vehicle driver arrested for OWI 1st, PAC 1st and cited for open intoxicants, released to responsible party. Other vehicle driver verbally warned for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia, vehicle driven by responsible party.
 - 2:32 am, Other, N. Frances & W. Dayton Streets . Traffic Stop - Verbally Warned driver for possession of THC, OWL and non-registration of auto.

- 9:20 am, Other, Eagles Heights. Contacted by telephone person who reported receiving a large medical bill for medical services from a healthcare facility in Bridgeton, MO, investigation ongoing between SSM Dean Health Insurance and person regarding potential credit fraud protection.
 - 2:02 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Person transported to local hospital experiencing mental health crisis.
 - 8:28 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Medical Sciences Center. Contacted person after an interaction with another person at the bus stop on University Ave and Orchard St. leaving them feeling threatened and unsafe.
 - 9:42 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Dell Drive. Drone was disregarded on scene.
 - 10:54 pm, Bail Jumping, University Ave & W. Gilman Street. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping after locating them within the State Street and Langdon ban area contrary to the conditions of their release in a Dane County Case.
 - 10:56 pm, Criminal Damage, Sellery Hall. Contacted persons regarding damage to a glass window on the south side of Sellery Hall.
 - 11:08 pm, Other, University Ave & Babcock Drive. Traffic Stop - No information provided at time of briefing release.
 - 12:13 am, Other, N. Park Street & Observatory Drive. Traffic Stop - Verbally warned person for possession of THC, paraphernalia, and open intoxicants, multiple pipes, rollers, joints, THC vapes, marijuana, and a bottle of cognac seized.
 - 2:19 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University Ave & University Bay Drive. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver for OWI 1st, PAC 1st, Exceed Speed zones 11-15mph, and operating without required lamps.
 - 2:27 am, Other, W. Dayton & N. Lake Street . Contacted persons after observing an open 50ml shooter of Pink Whitney vodka - still containing liquid - in the passenger compartment.
 - 3:00 am, Drug Violation, N. Park St & University Ave . Stopped vehicle for Exceeding Post Limit (35/25: Pacing) and as the vehicles registered owner did not have a valid Wisconsin Driver License.
