- 12:27 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted/checked on person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 7:32 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Transported person to local hospital for medical care.
- 12:44 am, Other, N. Frances Street & University Ave. Traffic Stop – Contacted driver/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party for OWI 1st, PAC 1st, and improper left turn (reason for stop).
- 1:20 am, Other, Spring & N. Park Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Verbally Warned driver for Operating W/O Valid License, Verbally Warned for Open Intoxicants in motor vehicle. Also Verbally Warned passenger for open intoxicants in motor vehicle.
- 1:44 am, Information, Local Hospital. Local hospital staff reported possible crime that occurred in the city of Madison, reported to local agency as crime occurred off campus.
- 2:10 am, Drug Violation, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for abusing hazardous substances and a probation hold after EMS was called for them while working and needing medical assistance.

- 9:03 am, Found Property, Integrative Biology. Placed a e-scooter in Safekeeping after it had not been removed from the building despite being tagged for removal.
- 12:22 am, Information, Eagle Heights. Reference information report only.
- 1:57 am, Other, S. Park Street. Traffic Stop - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver for speed violation, Verbally Warned for operating without rear lights after observing them fail to maintain lane and possession of THC, cited for OWI 1st, possession open intoxicant in motor vehicle.
Daily Blotter for April 2nd 2026
- 12:12 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Main door, caused by unknown person entering.
- 1:58 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported patient to local hospital, no police assistance needed.
- 6:08 pm, Damage to Property, Computer Science & Statistics. Contacted UWPD Security Officer who reported damage to a water fountain on the 5th floor. Damage to carpets and ceiling tiles to the massive amount of water that was being released from the fountain. Servpro, elevator repair and plumbing called in to attend to the damage.
- 8:02 pm, Theft/Larceny, UWPD/Monroe Street. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect after they stole a UWPD Security Officer's electric scooter from the front of the UWPD building, tracked to W. Washington using scooters GPS, arrested for theft of moveable property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

- 8:06 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Disregard alarms, moving equipment in.
- 11:18 am, Found Property, Memorial Union. Contacted by Memorial Union Staff after two bags containing various cell phones and other items were turned in to the information desk, found by staff, owner of bags returned to claim items, no evidence of any crime, property returned to owner.
- 11:41 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted outside agency with two cell phone examinations.
- 11:42 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted outside agency with one cell phone examination.
- 5:03 pm, Found Property, Local Hospital/UWPD. Wallet turned in with DL, voicemail and text messages sent that property was at UWPD for pick up.
- 5:34 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 63. Located driver of vehicle after they got out of their car and pushed the gate arm in Lot 63 up so they could leave without paying. Driver of vehicle cited for UWS vandalism and bypass a security device. Transportation Services still evaluating damage at time of briefing release.
- 8:07 pm, Information, Local Hospital. Contacted persons after an altercation occurred at local hospital. Escorted both parties out of hospital and asked to leave for the night and not to return.
- 4:37 am, Other, Fish Hatchery Rd & Cedar. Traffic stop – no additional information provided prior to briefing release.

- 6:47 am, Bail Jumping, Lot 83. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for bail jumping x2 after they were found sleeping on the lowest level of Lot 83.
- 3:58 pm, Harassment, Location Redacted. Contacted person reported harassing behaviors from another person who will be cited for unlawful use of telephone.
- 4:14 pm, Found Property, Chazen Museum. Contacted person regarding a debit card that was located and turned into UWPD, placed into property and will be picked up by owner at a later date.
- 4:15 pm, Harassment, Location Redacted. Contacted person who requested to file a report reference being recipient of harassing behavior from another person, informational purposes, no further police assistance requested at this time.
- 3:20 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Attempted to contact person experiencing mental health crisis.
Daily Blotter for March 30th 2026
- 10:16 am, Other, University Ave & N. Segoe Road. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Verbally warned driver for possession of a small amount of Marijuana and open intoxicant after stopping to assist with a disabled vehicle.
- 3:27 pm, Theft/Larceny, Local Hospital. Contacted/Cited person for UW Chapter 18 Retail Theft, after they were reported to have stolen a couple of items from market inside local hospital. Contact was made with person at nearby bus stop, citations issued/explained and person released without incident, items returned to hospital security.
- 8:45 pm, Information, UWPD. Contacted person who wanted to share potential behavior changes in light of persons termination.
- 10:48 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
Daily Blotter for March 29th 2026
- 12:31 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Found Property: Three sets of keys, one vehicle fob and a brown leather wallet with a Red lanyard and a blue carabiner found and turned into Dispatch. Owner located, attempts made to contact with no reply, placed into property for safekeeping until able to contact with response.
- 1:59 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Packaged and placed a found I-phone into safekeeping that was turned into UWPD Dispatch, placed into safekeeping until able to locate owner.
- 9:00 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis and transported to local hospital.
Daily Blotter for March 28th 2026
- 11:30 am, Follow-up, Morgridge Hall. Contacted person regarding computer that may have been accessed without permission off campus and reported to outside agency. Items placed into evidence, investigation ongoing.
- 12:17 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR on scene transported to local hospital, no contact with patient.
- 7:59 pm, Theft/Larceny, State Street. Contacted person after observing them on an e-bike on State Street and admitting to taking the bike somewhere on S Park Street. Bike entered into safekeeping until owner is contacted/identified, person released, citation pending.
- 12:24 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Linden Drive & Henry Mall. Traffic Stop - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver for OWI 1st and cited for driving w/o headlights. Vehicle towed to Schmidts.

- 11:12 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted outside agency with two cell phone examinations.
- 3:14 pm, Other, UWPD. Contacted person regarding emails they received from former employee, nothing harassing but requesting/persisting with a meeting and making them feel uncomfortable.
- 6:48 pm, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Called person after they reported their necklace stolen from the Nicholas Recreation Center on Thursday.
- 6:56 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Contacted person via phone after their wallet was turned into UWPD, placed into safekeeping until they are able to come to UWPD to pick up.
- 9:46 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 10:27 pm, Other, E. Johnson & N. Hamilton Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped vehicle for imprudent speed, suspended plates and failure to yield to pedestrian. Driver cited for criminal operating after revocation, failure to install IID, and failure to yield to pedestrian. Verbally warned for Non-registration of auto, suspended plates, and speed. Vehicle legally parked, driver released without incident.
- 11:38 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted persons for UAL, citations to be emailed.
- 12:22 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Residence Hall. Assisted outside agency with clearing residence hall during outside agency pursuit of suspect went into residence hall, suspect fled out, scene cleared.
- 1:43 am, Found Property, UWPD. Attempted to call person to return their WI DL, placed into safekeeping until they are able to pick up.
Daily Blotter for March 26th 2026
- 6:42 am, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted by persons regarding former employee displaying stalking behaviors. Due to displaying elements of stalking former employee was asked to leave and will be receiving a stalking letter warning them of such behavior and if they are found near another UW Campus building, they will be cited.
- 8:54 am, Theft/Larceny, Discovery Building. Contacted person stating their laptop was missing and had contacted staff at the Discovery Building but it had not been placed in lost and found, person later called and reported the facility manager had returned their laptop and was returned to person, nothing missing or damaged.
- 11:42 am, Damage to Property, Residence Hall. Contacted person to report that multiple screens, over time have been removed from the lower-level windows. Appears to have happened to multiple windows, and may be students doing this after getting locked out as screens appear to be unlocked. Screens to be replaced with ones that are more secure.
- 2:33 pm, Damage to Property, Mechanical Engineering. Person reported their bike was struck which was parked in a legal spot near the entrance to Lot 17. Video review shows person runs over the bike and leaves the area. Information exchanged between parties, will follow up next week.
- 6:48 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Lakeshore Path/Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited person for Disorderly Conduct (UW Code) after yelling at and accusing another person for destroying the earth and other disorganized comments while walking on the bike path near a Residence Hall.
- 7:57 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 9:46 pm, Warrant Served, Extension Building. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect after being seen within the UW Campus ban area. Arrested for six bench warrants out of Dane County.
- 1:04 am, Check Person, Location Redacted. Flagged down by person needing medical assistance and transported to local hospital.
- 3:08 am, Other, University Ave. & N. Brooks St. Traffic Stop of moped – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for possession of stolen property (M), Operating motor vehicle without owner’s consent (F), Obstruction (F), warrant (x3) after being seen riding moped against traffic on University Ave, then onto a sidewalk. Moped was stolen out of Lake Mills (RO contacted and will pick up).
