Daily Blotter for March 25th 2025
- 9:54 am, Damage to Property, Fluno Center. Contacted the Fluno Center Facilities Manager regarding a utility truck backing into a light pole, located at the N. Frances St. entrance to the building on 03/20/2025 at approximately 2:30 P.M. The driver of the vehicle reported the accident to the Fluno center immediately after hitting the pole, confirmed accidental.
- 10:44 am, Harassment, UWPD. MBB Staff Member reported receiving unwanted/harassing text message and voice mail from unknown subject on Saturday, March 22, 2025 while in Denver, Colorado for the NCAA Tournament.
- 1:18 pm, Harassment, UWPD. Person reported receiving email from another person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 5:48 pm, Sensitive Crime, Local Hospital. Contacted person who reported sensitive crime by patient at local hospital. Per reporting person, only wanted a report taken at this time, no charges or additional follow up requested.
- 7:08 pm, Other, Eagle Heights. Suspicious Person - Contacted person who reported they observed a person smoking near the playground shelter near their apartment, at which time when in their apartment noticed said person directly outside of their window.
- 10:38 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Sterling Hall. Person located in Sterling Hall after hours, escorted out and cited for violating closing hours, also verbally warned for providing false information to law enforcement.
- 4:20 am, Other, Gordon Commons. Recovered Property - Recovered persons missing bicycle after finding the bicycle abandoned before observing them leaving it behind on UWPD security footage.
Daily Blotter for March 24th 2025
- 9:13 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Person called to report their bike was stolen, could not establish venue or bike description. Cited for unauthorized presence for being at Memorial Union while banned.
- 12:40 am, Other, Campus Drive & Randall Ave. Contacted/Cited person for no lamps lit during hours of darkness and failure to obey a red traffic light. Vehicle involved in MPD suspicious vehicle case, MPD took over call and person was arrested for OWI.
Daily Blotter for March 23rd 2025
- 10:13 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Assisted Madison Police with moving patient from Emergency Room to squad as patient was uncooperative and non-compliant use of force tactics used.
- 10:29 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Contacted Transportation Services regarding vehicle driving through the exit gate and damaging it at 4:03p on 03/22/25.

- 1:33 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Residence Hall. Cited person for UAL 1st after they were found by other persons stumbling in the road. Person transported by MFR to local hospital for medical treatment of injuries and alcohol incapacitation.
- 4:54 am, Other, Observatory Drive & Park Street. White Nissan Sentry was located on Stairs outside Northeast corner of Science Hall, RO known and tried to make contact at residence, Schmidt’s towed vehicle for safekeeping and LE hold at this time.
- 1:32 pm, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted by telephone person who reported their Apple AirPods Pro 2 case was stolen after tracking back to building and has since tracked to DePere, WI. UWPD made courtesy contact request with DePere PD regarding missing items – investigation ongoing.
- 2:30 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person and stated area was normal and no issues at this time.
- 3:02 pm, Graffiti, Gordon Commons. Observed black spray paint with an unknown word on the planter outside of the north east door of Gordon Commons.
- 11:05 pm, Other, Location Redacted. Contacted person requesting assistance getting back to their hotel experiencing mental health crisis and under influence of ETOH.
- 1:57 am, Other, Camp Randall Stadium. Closing Hours Violation - Contacted/Cited/Released person for closing hours violation after they shimmied through a gap under a fence to enter the stadium.
- 2:29 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University Ave & Charter Street. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party person for OWI 1st, unreasonable and imprudent speed.

- 12:26 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Subject slipped on ice per MFR, no police assistance needed.
- 12:55 pm, Information, UWPD. Contacted person requesting to talk about sensitive crimes already reported to MPD and SHPD and experiencing mental health crisis.
- 2:29 pm, Theft/Larceny, Local Hospital. Contacted person who advised money taken from a communal snack fund.
- 5:02 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, UWPD. Contacted person for second time today regarding sensitive crimes and experiencing mental health crisis.
- 10:20 pm, Drug Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted/Verbally Warned persons for County Possession of THC after finding them smoking marijuana cigarettes near the substation to the south.
- 1:26 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University Ave & Mills Street. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party for OWI 1st, PAC 1st, unsafe lane deviation, stopping/standing in crosswalk and possess open intoxicants in motor vehicle.
- 4:36 am, Bail Jumping, Lot 83. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping x2 after observing them violating the conditions of their release by being in a prohibited area.

- 1:06 pm, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person regarding their jacket being stolen from an unlocked day locker at the Nicholas Rec Center.
- 2:56 pm, Other, Eagle Heights Drive. Request For Assistance - Vehicle damaged by falling tree. Tree cleaned up by University Apartments staff.
- 3:04 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person who stated coworker tripped the door alarm.
- 9:04 pm, Check Person, Union South. No information provided at time of briefing release.
- 9:34 pm, Theft/Larceny, Humanities Building. Contacted person who reported their backpack was stolen from Humanities after leaving the room for 5 minutes.

- 6:24 am, Drug Violation, Lot 46. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspects for warrants, after they were called in by Transportation Services camping in the 6th floor southeast stairwell of the lot.
- 9:11 am, Found Property, UWPD. Uber driver who was not identified turned in dark blue Apple Airpro Max headphones into dispatch.
- 2:01 pm, Information, UWPD. On 02/28/25, person contacted UWPD via UW-Madison Police email account, investigation ongoing.
- 2:57 pm, Harassment, Residence Hall. Interviewed person who reported an Instagram account posted pictures and videos of them without their consent.
- 4:48 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR contacted an unknown person who fell and hit their head, MFR transported to local hospital, no further police assistance needed.
- 10:57 pm, Battery, Memorial Union. While on an unrelated call in the Rathskeller, person approached and reported at approximately 9:15 pm they had been punched in their right jaw by an unknown person walking by the table at which they was seated.

- 9:52 am, Follow-up, Cottage Grove Road. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for UW disorderly conduct and issued UW code citation for bypass security device and union ban letter.
- 12:42 pm, Graffiti, Vilas Hall. Took photos of UW signs (no motor vehicle/mopeds) in the 300blk of E Campus Mall that have been vandalized.
- 2:55 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted Marshall PD with a cell phone examination.
- 10:19 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person, detox eval conducted, MFR transported person to local hospital, person incapacitated due to alcohol and placed into protective custody.

- 9:27 am, Damage to Property, Washburn Observatory. Light pole I56 was discovered by UWPD Security blown over in the wind.
- 11:04 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they were reported to be stumbling on the 7th floor of Residence Hall, released without incident.
- 12:13 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 4:32 am, Bail Jumping, Lot 83. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect of bail jumping due to violation of campus area ban after being found sleeping in the elevator lobby.

- 9:54 am, Disorderly Conduct, Charter Street Heating Plant. Probable cause exists to arrest person for disorderly conduct after they attempted multiple times to enter the Charter Street plant and CoGen under fraudulent information.
- 1:58 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, State Street. Assisted MPD with a weapons offense on Langdon St. at N. Frances St. where weapon was discarded and witness observed suspect drop the knife into a window grate.
- 5:15 pm, Drug Violation, Lowell Center. While completing a check area of Lowell Center, located two marijuana blunts inside a THCA container outside the main doors, positive for marijuana and property disposed of.
- 5:19 pm, Damage to Property, Observatory Drive. Found Street light pole 156, toppled over.
- 7:07 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Century Place. Call out to assist Middleton Fire Department with investigating a structure fire at multi-unit apartment building.
- 12:26 am, Other, Local Hospital. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Disorderly Conduct after they provoked a disturbance with hospital staff, making disturbing sexually suggestive comments, and threatening to "shoot up" the Emergency Room.
- 1:53 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited person for UAL 1st after being found in the bathroom vomiting.
- 2:56 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Johnson St. & Wisconsin Ave. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for OWI, operating while suspended, and operating without required lamps lit during hours of darkness (reason for stop).
- 4:11 am, Found Property, Grainger Hall. Tablet found in the building, unable to locate owner – placed in UWPD Property.
- 5:14 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 5:37 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Hospital to red for GSW Patient that was dropped off at local hospital.
