- 8:29 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person in location, no issues.
- 12:05 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person after they were requesting Journey Mental Health contact info.
- 2:33 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person who dislocated shoulder while working out.
- 3:12 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, University Ave & Randall Street. Stopped at 2-car 10-50. MPD unit arrived at same time, and confirmed no need for assistance.
- 4:08 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Lowell Center. Contacted person who reported hate-based activity that occurred on the 4th floor of Lowell Hall in February.
- 5:48 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, State Street. Assisted MPD with individual causing disturbance in 700 block State St.
- 7:10 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Assisted security staff escorting visitor out of emergency room after disruptive behavior towards staff.
Daily Blotter for May 21st 2023
- 8:33 am, Warrant Served, Tent Colony Lot. Arrested suspect for body-only bench warrants from Sheboygan (2) and Ozaukee (1) Counties. Cited for UW possession of MJ. Partially consumed bottle of Hennesey brandy disposed on scene.
- 9:22 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Assisted Dodge County Sheriff’s Office with voluntary blood draw of suspect.
- 12:35 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Contacted person who reported a person on a motorcycle struck one of the SE exit gates while exiting, damaging it to about $1500.00.
- 12:00 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Checked the area, and no issues were located.
- 11:55 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local hospital. Assisted MPD and hospital staff with patient who drove themselves to the ER after being shot through the right quad.
- 12:08 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, N Lake Street. Assisted MPD attempting to locate suspect in disturbance/weapons violation in area of Kollege Klub/State St Campus ramp where several subjects were attempting to start fights.
- 1:45 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, E Washington Ave. Responded and assisted MPD in stabilizing and securing scene of shooting due to MPD`s request for any available units to respond.
Daily Blotter for May 20th 2023
- 7:07 am, Graffiti, East Campus Mall Pedestrian Tunnel. Graffiti reported on the East Campus Mall pedestrian tunnel and surrounding areas. Graffiti includes multiple variations of "S+B", hearts, as well as a racial slur, and "Fuck You Bitch". Approximately $600 damage.
- 8:17 am, Burglary, Engineering Hall. Person reported several cordless tools stolen from job site.
- 10:49 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contact made with person who stated alarm has been having issues. Door secure.
- 11:04 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Person set off alarm while moving a cart. Door secure.
- 3:55 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Person set off alarm while talking to coworker.
- 6:27 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, N Lake and State Streets. Assisted Madison Police in detaining battery suspect from Target on State St.
- 11:35 pm, Drug Violation, McKay Center Lot. Verbally warned persons who were parked in the McKay Lot after closing hours. Person also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and verbally warned for possession of alcohol.
- 12:47 am, Operating While Intoxicated, N Basset St & Conklin Place. Arrested/cited/transported/released to Dane County Jail suspect for OWI 1st and Driving on Sidewalk (reason for stop).
- 1:47 am, Operating While Intoxicated, S Park & Drake Streets. Arrested/cited/released to Responsible party person for operating with out required lamps, OWI 1st, and PAC 1st. Suspect also verbally warned for non-registration of auto.
Daily Blotter for May 19th 2023
- 2:10 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University Ave & N. Midvale Blvd. Arrested/Cited subject for OWI 1st, failure to obey traffic officer, OWL, and unreasonable and imprudent speed after their vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed on University Ave. Attempted stop at Midvale, vehicle drove off. Followed to Hwy 12, stopped and took driver into custody. Passengers detained and released. Refused SFSTs.
- 8:11 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Request from MPD to review UW cameras reference a vehicle theft.
- 11:29 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Staff reported being extorted by a person they met on a dating app. Suspect demanded money.
- 2:53 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Welfare check on subject.
- 3:18 pm, Alarm, Microbial Sciences. Made contact with lab personnel about an alarm. Area was secure. No further police service necessary.
- 3:47 pm, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. Contacted staff member with concerns about a former student. No threats made or anything physical staff. Information to be passed along to Threats team.
- 11:40 pm, Alarm, Eagle Heights. Contacted/verbally warned subject for camping. Offer to be taken to the shelter was declined. Escorted subject to the bus stop and was asked to leave property.

- 11:45 am, Found Property, UWPD. Wallet containing various cards, cash, MN DL and Wiscard turned in to UWPD.
- 4:09 pm, Information, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding a smoke detector having different batteries and their personal door alarm mechanism having possible evidence of tampering.
- 7:47 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Assisted Shorewood Hills PD with clearing a building following a commercial burglary alarm being activated.
- 2:10 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University Ave & N Midvale Blvd. Still Ongoing, no disposition at this time .

- 10:23 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person reported panic button pushed by mistake, no emergencies.
- 10:30 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted MPD with search warrant reference a phone UWPD confiscated .
- 1:20 pm, Information, Location Redacted. Contacted person after they received a report from a program educator reporting a student, wishing to remain anonymous, was slapped on the "buttocks" by a volunteer during an event in Rock County. Information forwarded to Rock County Sheriff`s office for further investigation.

- 1:42 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Willow & Observatory Drive. Made contact with persons after an incident occurred where one was riding an E-Bike westbound on Observatory Dr. and at Willow vehicle driver is traveling eastbound, E-Bike rider collided with vehicle.
- 4:55 pm, Other, Arboretum. Robbery - Contacted person at Dane County Jail after they were arrested by MPD. While in transport to DCJ, person claimed they had been battered somewhere in the Arboretum between 11:00AM-1:00PM on 5/15/23.
- 6:03 pm, Theft/Larceny, Engineering Research. Contacted person who reported their bicycle stolen between 5/12/2023 after approximately 3:00PM and 5/15/2023 before approximately 6:00PM.
- 8:34 pm, Emergency Detention, Location redacted. Assisted Ambulance with transport of person from local hospital to Mendota Mental Health facility.
- 9:35 pm, Check Person, Location redacted. Assisted local hospital emergency room medical staff with contacting person in escorting them into the emergency room to be checked in for suicidal ideations.

- 4:42 pm, Information, Memorial Union. Contacted person regarding an unknown woman who contacted them at the Union making them uncomfortable.
- 11:49 pm, Graffiti, Lake Safety. Discovered graffiti on the wall across from the east exterior exit for the UW-Madison Lifesaving Station.

- 10:53 am, Theft/Larceny, Kohl Center. Arrest/cited/transport/released to Dane County Jail suspect for a felony warrant (theft) out of Dane County.
- 12:55 pm, Theft/Larceny, Adams Hall. Contacted person who reported their e-bicycle`s lock was damaged and their battery was stolen.
- 4:27 pm, Fire, Humanities Building. Responded to 6th floor fire alarm with MFD. Observed heavy cloud of smoke in corridor; discerned to be result of discharged fire extinguisher.
- 6:16 pm, Check Person, Adams Hall. Cited person for bypass security devices after they showed up to their ex-partners residence and caused a disturbance.
- 8:40 pm, Check Person, Memorial Union. Contacted Memorial Union Staff regarding person harassing patrons on the terrace.
- 1:01 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Regent Street. Contacted person after they were observed sitting partially in the street asleep.

- 9:47 am, Information, UWPD. Received information from housing about possible fraudulent WisCard duplication.
- 9:47 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person after accidental forced door to cold room.
- 11:08 am, Damage to Property, Jones Hall. Contacted person who reported damage to a water fountain on 2nd floor.
- 12:05 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. IT in area working accidentally set off alarm.
- 12:30 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Door caught on interior rug, rug moved and door secured.
- 2:21 pm, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Submitted emergency detention paperwork for patient.
- 2:49 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Spoke with person who requested we not send police as they`ve got people working in that area.
- 3:09 pm, Check Person, Van Vleck Hall. Contacted person via phone regarding email they received from someone on 5/11 regarding unwanted contact.
- 6:15 pm, Fraud, Gordon Commons. Contacted person reporting their WISC card was used without their permission to make four purchases at the Flamingo Run market between April 2nd and May 12th, 2023.
- 10:48 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person after they were reported by house fellows to have cut their wrist with a knife.

- 2:37 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, N Broom & W. Mifflin Street. Contacted/Transported person to Tellurian after they were found sleeping in a flower box on N. Broom St. near W. Mifflin St..
