Daily Blotter for August 22nd 2025
- 7:05 am, Theft/Larceny, Mills Street. Contacted person regarding scrap electric motors taken from the scrap pallet located on the West side of the Physical Plant.
- 8:45 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 44. Person backed a University of Wisconsin owned vehicle into a legally parked vehicle in Lot 44.
- 12:32 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Responded to a report of electric scooter theft.
- 5:31 pm, Theft/Larceny, Witte Hall. Contacted person after reporting their bike tire inflator stolen.
- 11:20 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, Proudfit & W. Main Street. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver for operating without required lamps and failure to maintain indicated lane, OWI 1st, PAC 1st, vehicle legally parked.
- 1:55 am, Other, Local Hospital. Request For Assistance - Transported person from local hospital to residence.
Daily Blotter for August 21st 2025
- 6:15 am, Check Person, Merit House. Cited person for Bypass Security Device after Housing staff observed them inside Merit House and unable to provide information that they had authorized access to be in the building.
- 11:36 am, Burglary, Camp Randall Stadium. After review of cameras, subject was identified who scaled fence into Camp Randall and took a shirt, hat and shoes.
- 4:46 pm, Found Property, Bascom Hall. Found Wallet with attempts to contact owner unsuccessful, wallet packaged and placed into safekeeping until contact with owner can be made.

- 3:38 pm, Other, Camp Randall Arch. Request For Assistance - Disposed of an abandoned tent found in Garr Park.
- 10:49 pm, Theft/Larceny, Lot 76. Transportation Services advised a vehicle has been piggybacking through Lot 76's gate arms without paying for parking. Investigation ongoing.

- 11:50 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person after a passerby reported a person was walking around unclothed, person experiencing mental health crisis.

- 9:49 am, Fire, Bascom Hall. Fire Alarm - 2nd floor by room 214 heat beam alarm triggered fire alarm. No actual fire. Issue with heat beam.
- 12:48 pm, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Person reported their electric scooter stolen from the Nicholas Recreation Center bike.
- 4:17 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Assisted outside agency with a warrant blood draw for patient and placed into evidence.
- 4:53 pm, Theft/Larceny, Bakke Recreation Center. Contacted person regarding their bike being stolen from the front eastern side of Bakke Rec Center after they left it there unlocked.

- 5:17 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing medical emergency and transported to local hospital.
- 3:57 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Extension Building. Contacted person after they backed into another vehicle causing damage to rear bumper and driver's side rear quarter panel.
- 4:47 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 5:10 pm, Other, Local Hospital. Outside agency handcuffed subject for warrants in ambulance immediately upon arrival to ambulance bay. UWPD removed handcuffs at the request of medical staff.
- 12:50 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Regent Street. Located person during a foot pursuit/arrested and turned over to outside agency person after they were a suspect in a battery at a local eatery nearby.
- 2:53 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Regent & Lathrop Streets. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party suspect for OWI 1st, PAC 1st, and red-light violation. Vehicle parked at stop location.
Daily Blotter for August 16th 2025
- 9:47 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Responded to a report of an injured person needing medical assistance, MFD on scene no police assistance needed.
- 10:55 am, Graffiti, East Campus Mall Pedestrian Tunnel. Physical plant notified UWPD of large Graffiti located in the middle of the pedestrian tunnel on the west wall.
- 8:20 pm, Eluding, N. Park & W. Dayton Streets. Attempted to Stop Motorcycle for reckless driving (lane splitting and cutting vehicles off) while on University Ave and E Campus Mall. Traffic stop initiated at N Park St and W Dayton St. when Motorcycle fled at a high rate of speed southbound on N Park Street. PC for reckless driving, fleeing and eluding and failure to stop at a red traffic signal.
- 9:10 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person for report of a bag stolen in Memorial Union staff locker room/bathroom area.
- 12:25 am, Information, Local Hospital. Contacted person after hospital staff reported battery at another local hospital, no further action taken, just information at this time.
- 3:06 am, Other, Camp Randall Stadium. Closing Hours Violation - Cited persons for building closing hours after they were seen by AO on the field. Both Verbally Warned for UAL and resisting.

- 7:44 am, Warrant Served, Gordon Commons. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail person for an outstanding warrant.
- 10:05 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person who advised staff set off alarm while moving items.
- 1:11 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Located vehicle that was struck by another vehicle from hit and run accident.
- 11:59 pm, Other, Lot 91. Liquor Law Violation - Contacted/Cited person for Keep Open Intoxicants in MV - Driver and cited passengers for Possess Open Intoxicants in MV- Passenger after observing open intoxicants in vehicle.
- 1:14 am, Drug Violation, Dayton Street & East Campus Mall. Stopped/Verbally Warned driver for County Possession of THC after observing a marijuana blunt and cannabis flower packaging within drivers vehicle.
- 2:05 am, Bail Jumping, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping (violation of UW campus ban bail condition) after they were contacted for possession of alcohol on UW lands.
- 2:24 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Lot 91. Contacted/Verbally Warned driver for Keep Open Intoxicants in MV - Driver and Possession of THC (County) after observing open intoxicants and marijuana within Vehicle. Passenger cited for Possess Open Intoxicants in MV - Passenger.
- 3:01 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Johnson & Lake Streets. Stopped/Arrested/Released to responsible party with citations driver for Unlawful U-Turn - Unsafe, Disregard Official Traffic Sign (One way), Non-Registration of Auto, and Operating While Impaired 1st.

- 6:22 am, Other, Mills & Erin Streets. Stopped/Cited/Released driver for criminal OAR and IID tampering. Verbally Warned for failure to yield for pedestrian (reason for stop). Vehicle parked in valid parking spot.
- 9:51 am, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person who left their bike on the Langdon side of the Memorial Union was missing.
- 2:11 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 20. Located damage to payment machine at gate exit.
- 5:04 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 20. Pulled in error.

- 9:47 am, Disorderly Conduct, East Campus Mall/University Ave. Contacted/Cited person after causing a disturbance, made a swiping lunge towards a person and verbal threats while walking past person on East Campus Mall.
- 7:32 pm, Criminal Damage, University Ave. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported by Shorewood Hills Police Department/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for criminal damage to property and entry into a locked vehicle after taking a large rock and throwing it at the driver side window of their vehicle. Suspect also cited for disorderly conduct after gesturing to throw a rock at another vehicle threatening to break other vehicles windows.
- 9:27 pm, Graffiti, Lot 2. Photographed Graffiti found in Lot 2 on two separate dumpsters.
- 11:48 pm, Bail Jumping, Memorial Library. Contacted/Verbally Warned persons for Unauthorized Picnicking or Camping. One person was Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping after being found within the State Street and Langdon ban area contrary to the conditions of their release regarding a current case in Dane County Court. Other person also Verbally Warned for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
