- 8:19 pm, Domestic, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding information for potential domestic violence violation. After additional information and follow up, Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Disorderly Conduct/Domestic Violence with 72 hour no contact.
- 10:24 pm, Other, University Ave & Frances Street. Obstruction - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect during traffic stop for Obstruction and two Dane County Warrants. During stop, verbally warned person for non-registration of auto and cited them for OAR. Contacted passengers in vehicle and verbally warned all for seat belt violations.
- 11:51 pm, Other, Park & Spring Streets. Traffic Stop - Stopped vehicle/cited driver for operating after revocation and failure to install an IID. Verbally Warned for expired registration. Released to passenger who legally drove vehicle.
- 11:54 pm, Found Property, HSLC. Wallet found in HSLC, attempt to contact owner, placed into property/safekeeping.
- 1:04 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Gorham Street. Assisted outside agency with taking a domestic suspect into custody after a foot pursuit.
- 1:49 am, Damage to Property, Lot 91. Contacted person after they struck a parking sign in front of an outside agency officer.
- 2:52 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Lot 6. Contacted/Cited person for Trespass to Land - Remain After Notice after observing them trespassing within the stairwell for a third time within a month.
- 3:29 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Lot 7. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party for Operating While Impaired 1st and Operating With Prohibited Alcohol Content 1st after they were found attempting to drive out of UW Lot 7 after previously being advised to not drive due to their level of intoxication.

- 8:28 am, Found Property, UWPD. A phone was turned in to the UWPD after being found on Harrison St. in the City of Madison. The phone was in "Safe Mode" which did not allow any calls to be made, and prevented any forms of locating a contact to assist in locating the owner. The phone was processed and placed into property for safekeeping.

- 12:26 pm, Battery, Location Redacted. Contacted person who reported being struck by another patient while providing care. Investigation ongoing at time of briefing release.
- 12:53 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Welfare check on person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 1:51 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person needing medical treatment, no police assistance needed.
- 1:47 pm, Other, Library Mall. Demonstrations/Protests - 40 people in attendance for “ICE Off Our Campus” demonstration. No problems.
- 1:34 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Educational Sciences. Cited person for UAL 1st., released without incident, intoxicated not incapacitated.

- 5:13 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Memorial Library. UPDATE - Contacted/Cited person for UW disorderly conduct they were reported as being disrespectful to staff and refusing to leave when asked.
- 7:20 am, Graffiti, Law Building. Responded to a report of Graffiti in the Bascom Mall area.
- 8:35 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Lot 29. Verbally Warned person for trespassing on University Lands after they were reported parking their bike inside the secured bike locker in the lot after being informed.
- 10:09 am, Information, Humanities Building. Contacted person regarding reports of three Anti-ICE stickers in located in the Humanities Building.
- 10:23 am, Disorderly Conduct, Local Hospital. Contacted outside agency that an inmate had spit bodily fluids onto another person, reports taken.
- 11:25 am, Disorderly Conduct, Lot 7. Contacted person regarding parking issue in Lot 7 with another person in the lot and a verbal altercation occurred, disorderly conduct citation to be issued.
- 1:28 pm, Information, Engineering Hall. Contacted person regarding scam/fraud call, no suspects known at this time.
- 1:46 pm, Other, Residence Hall. Contacted person who reported receiving disturbing emails from their parents, with whom they are estranged from. Requested documentation of contact in the event contact continues.
- 2:35 pm, Lost Property, Residence Hall. Person reported their passport was lost and a report was completed for purposes of obtaining replacement.
- 3:16 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 7:56 pm, Bail Jumping, Gordon Commons. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Felony Bail Jumping and Possession of Methamphetamine after being contacted when they were found wandering in Gordon Commons and making people feel uncomfortable. Current bail conditions prohibiting them from being on UW Property.
- 11:06 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, W. Johnson & N. Broom Streets. Assisted outside agency with placing suspect into squad car after they became resistive while in custody and kicked officers.
- 11:57 pm, Other, Local Hospital. Contacted person after local hospital advised UWPD of a possible TRO violation with a patient. Person Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail for violation of 72 hour no contact violation.
- 12:00 am, Other, Regent & N. Park Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped driver for Failure to install IID (Misd.) and OAR (Forfeiture) and Verbally Warned for speeding.
- 1:35 am, Other, N. Lake Street. Cited person for municipal depositing human waste after they were seen urinating against the wall of the Kollege Klub near a group of people.
- 2:21 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, HC White. Cited person for UAL 2nd and cited another person in the group for UAL 1st.
- 3:25 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Person was discovered by another person unconscious in bathroom. Not incapacitated, UAL citation issued, verbally warned for false ID (confiscated/destroyed).

- 7:51 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Assisted outside agency with sensitive case, outside agency transported to Dane County Jail.
- 7:51 pm, Found Property, HSLC. Left contact information for person whose property that was turned into local hospital security. UWPD took property and placed into UWPD property safekeeping until person is able to claim.

- 2:33 pm, Theft/Larceny, HC White Library. Person reported their E-scooter was stolen from the bike racks on the east side of Helen C. White Hall.
- 4:55 pm, Information, Office of Admissions. Received a mandatory report from the Office of Admission.

- 8:04 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Person detained while experiencing mental health crisis.
- 3:09 am, Graffiti, East Campus Mall & University Ave. Found 3 stickers on the "no motor vehicles or mopeds" signs at the North most point of east campus mall before University Ave.

- 7:49 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Verbally Warned person for trespassing after locating in Lot 36, person transported to local hospital by MFR.
- 10:07 am, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person who reported their scooter stolen at the Nicholas Recreation Center, while another person was there removing the scooter with a key/u-lock and was able to provide owner information for scooter in question.
- 1:46 pm, Graffiti, Sellery Hall. Graffiti located on back of two dumpsters in Sellery loading dock area.
- 7:25 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Phone turned over to UWPD dispatch by UW Security, phone placed into safekeeping until owner can be located.
- 9:55 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Vilas Hall. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail person for UW Closed Hours - Building after they were spotted within the building during its closed period via UWPD Security Cameras. Person also charged with Possession of THC (Criminal) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Criminal).

- 4:40 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Johnson Street & East Campus Mall. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for OWI 1st, Fail to stop for Flashing red signal, expired registration and open intoxicants.
- 8:21 pm, Found Property, Lot 7. Wallet found belonging to person in Lot 7, owner contacted and will pick up at a later date. Wallet placed into safekeeping until owner can retrieve.
- 9:36 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital needing medical treatment.
- 9:54 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, N. Park & Regent Streets. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party for OWI 1st, PAC 1st, reckless driving, unreasonable/imprudent speed, and operating w/o carrying DL. Stinger 2 deployed due to driving behavior.

Suspect also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after paraphernalia was located during a search incident to arrest.

- 5:08 am, Warrant Served, Lot 46. Contacted/Verbally Warned persons for Trespass to Land - Remain After Notice after finding them asleep in a stairwell. One person Arrested/Transported to DCJ for DOC Probation Violation Warrant. Other person released without incident.
- 5:44 am, Check Person, Local Hospital. Arrested and will transport to Dane County Jail once medically cleared for felony bail jumping x2 and bench warrant after arriving at a local hospital emergency room intoxicated in violation of their bail conditions making comments regarding a major crime.
- 10:28 pm, Other, Tent Colony. Suspicious Vehicle - Contacted/Verbally Warned person for closing hours violation, open intox, and operating without a license and suspended. Vehicle left in legal parking spot.
- 12:43 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital for incapacitation due to alcohol, UAL cite to be emailed.
- 1:19 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Braxton Place & La Mariposa Lane. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party for OWI 1st, PAC 1st, Suspended registration, Operating w/o valid license and Exceed speed zones 35/25.
- 2:34 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited/Released to parents’ person for UAL 1st and depositing human waste while visiting relatives in Residence Hall.
- 4:40 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Johnson Street & East Campus Mall. Incident ongoing at time of briefing release.
Daily Blotter for November 8th 2025
- 6:00 am, Check Person, Residence Hall. Verbally warned/released without incident person for circumventing security and camping in Residence Hall.
- 6:56 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Park Street. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Responsible Party suspect for OWI 1st and PAC >.15. after they were observed driving S/B on Park Street on their front driver’s side rim with the tire wrapped around and behind the rim.
- 11:36 am, Other, S. Stoughton & Buckeye Roads. Attempted to stop vehicle with Kentucky plates that was speeding going over 100mph, and failed to stop.
- 1:49 pm, Harassment, Location Redacted. Cited person for UW Disorderly Conduct after they got into a verbal altercation with another person who owns a landscaping company that was contracted to perform landscaping work outside their building.
- 2:23 pm, Fraud, Residence Hall. Contacted person at UWPD after they were contacted by someone who they thought was the Chinese Ambassador claiming they had their passport information. Money was exchanged to persons leading the scam, providing information to person to assist on how to file international report in China.
- 6:51 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, East Campus Mall. Contacted persons after they were observed making a purchase at Regent Street Liquor while some waited outside and liquor was exchanged between groups. Cited persons for Madison Municipal UAL 1st. Verbally Warned others in group for false ID (confiscated/destroyed on scene).
- 7:43 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 91. Contacted person who wanted to report someone damaging their vehicle in Lot 91 and had taken photos of the person that caused the damage and located them in the crowd at the Kohl Center. After review of incident and situation, damage was not intentional, no citations issued.
- 8:55 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Multiple Locations. Person was seen by UWPD Security in Educational Sciences, Sterling Hall, and Chamberlin Hall, cited for 943.13(1m)(b) Trespass remain after notice.
- 10:54 pm, Drug Violation, S. Park Street. Traffic Stop - Stopped/Verbally Warned for Operating Without Required Lamps Lit During Hours of Darkness. During traffic stop with vehicle another vehicle blocked this vehicle, found open containers of alcohol were observed in plain view. All parties verbally warned for possession of THC.
- 11:38 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, S. Park & W. Johnson Streets. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for OWI 3, PAC > .02 x3, OAR (criminal), Failure to install IID, failure to obey red traffic light, hit and run, operating in the bike lane and possession of cocaine, Verbally Warned for possession of THC and littering.
- 5:08 am, Warrant Served, Lot 46. Incident ongoing at time of briefing release.
