Daily Blotter for October 26th 2025
- 11:14 am, Fraud, Residence Hall. Contacted person regarding another person using their credit cards without their consent, investigation ongoing.
- 12:00 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Responded to an injured person, MFR did not transport patient, no police assistance needed.
- 1:52 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person regarding theft of items stolen from the Memorial Union.
- 5:15 pm, Other, Johnson Street & Marion Ct. Incomplete information provided at time of briefing release – need to verify prior to releasing.
- 10:16 pm, Warrant Served, Chadbourne Hall. Contacted persons after they matched the description of individuals checking on bicycles on the east side of Chandbourne Hall. One person was taken into custody after they had an active warrant for their arrest, transported to Dane County Jail without incident, the other was released without incident.
- 1:14 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University & Randall Ave. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver after noticing they were driving what appeared to be a freshly damaged vehicle. Cited for OWI 1 and PAC 1.
- 2:43 am, Warrant Served, Johnson Street & Marion Ct. Stopped/Contacted/Verbally Warned/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for operating after revocation and had an active warrant for failure to support.
Daily Blotter for October 25th 2025
- 6:31 am, Check Person, Lot 29. Contacted/Cited person for trespass - remain after notice after they were found sleeping in the stairwell, left without incident.
- 7:10 am, Check Person, Lot 83. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail person after being medically cleared for trespassing on university land, probation violation warrant.
- 3:19 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Contacted person at local hospital for outside agency warrant to obtain legal blood draw.
- 7:58 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person after they reported theft of their iPad from Lakeview Lounge. iPad tracked to local hospital and found with person there and iPad was recovered.
- 10:53 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Persons called for assistance with another person who was ill due to intoxicated from alcohol, UAL citation to be delivered at a later date.
- 11:24 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 83. Contacted person after they observed a person jump over the entrance gate arm of lot 83 and bending it.
- 11:26 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 46. Contacted person regarding hitting the Lot 46 exit gate to Frances St, citation issued.
- 11:43 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 12:39 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Local Hospital. Contacted person after they refused medical care and local hospital security needed assistance escorting person off property.

- 7:39 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Lot 46. Contacted by person after another department located someone sleeping in the middle stairwell on the 5th floor of the ramp. Cited person for Trespass - Remain after notice, person left without issue.
- 2:26 pm, Theft/Larceny, Van Vleck Hall. Person reported their air pods stolen.
- 5:53 pm, Other, Location Redacted. Made phone contact with person regarding sensitive crime with minor.
- 11:22 pm, Check Person, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they were found unconscious in the stairwell between the 4th and 5th floor.
- 12:32 am, Damage to Property, Nicholas Recreation Center. Physical Plant contacted for a banner holder that was pulled off of a lamp post on ECM at the NW corner of the Nicholas Recreation Center.

- 8:40 am, Fraud, Residence Hall. Contacted person who reported they were being defrauded over photos on Instagram.
- 9:39 am, Other, Lot 20. Contacted by telephone person who was reporting a driver was shouting threats at them, who they had a prior interaction with on a previous date when vehicle was towed. Investigation ongoing.
- 10:19 am, Other, Education Building. Request For Assistance - Contacted person after receiving a card in the mail for the second time in a year that seemed potentially suspicious, no crime just documented at this time.
- 1:33 pm, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person reporting that their shoes were stolen from the pool locker room at Nicholas Recreation Center.
- 2:05 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 7. Contacted person reporting their vehicle was damaged in Lot 7.
- 3:06 pm, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Person reporting their scooter has been stolen.
- 4:48 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Person found and turned in gold chain & charm inside UWPD garage, unable to locate owner, entered into evidence for safekeeping.
Daily Blotter for October 22nd 2025
- 9:35 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Lot 7. Contacted person after locating them sleeping on the ground in the northwest stairwell. Cited them for trespass to land - remain after notice, left area without issue.
- 11:05 am, Graffiti, Memorial Union. Found graffiti sticker and removed it from the wall, no damage left.
- 11:13 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted outside agency with a cell phone examination.
- 11:16 am, Found Property, Kohl Center. Contacted person with a bike that was found on the west entrance to Labahn Arena on 10/3 or 10/4, bike secured in property storage.
- 2:04 pm, Warrant Served, Local Hospital. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for warrant hold.
- 2:29 pm, Information, Admissions Office. Received a mandatory report from the Office of Admission.

- 4:18 pm, Other, Local Hospital. Request For Assistance - Contacted person who reported some items missing after their discharge from a local hospital.
Daily Blotter for October 21st 2025
- 9:22 am, Other, Engineering Centers Building. Request For Assistance - Contacted person regarding someone entering rooms in the ECB and moving things around before taking items. Investigation ongoing at this time.
- 10:49 am, Theft/Larceny, Local Hospital. Person reported funds taken from their property while at local hospital while admitted. Did not notice items missing until after discharge.
- 10:50 am, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. Person called to report receiving multiple anonymous voice mails over the weekend, requested for report to be informational only at this time.
- 12:12 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person who was reporting person had stolen an unknown amount of money while working as a bartender at the Sunset Lounge. Person will be contacted and issued a citation for UW Theft under $100.
- 1:58 pm, Theft/Larceny, Mills Street. Person called to report coil materials from HVAC air handlers that were placed in their Metal Recycling Dumpster had been stolen over the weekend.
- 3:43 pm, Drug Violation, Local Hospital. Local hospital security called advising staff collected an amount of drugs and paraphernalia larger than what they can dispose of from a patient.
- 10:30 pm, Extortion, Location Redacted. Contacted person after someone was trying to extort them, they did not send money and blocked person’s number and information.
- 5:00 am, Graffiti, Humanities Building. Observed four posters glued to two pillars and a wall on the North side of the 3rd floor of the Humanities building.

- 8:16 am, Other, Field House. K9 Deployment - K9 Sweep of Field House for Women's Volleyball Game.
- 9:07 am, Other, Kohl Center. K9 Deployment - K9 Sweep of Kohl Center for Men's Basketball Game.
- 6:58 pm, Damage to Property, Dairy Barn. Contacted person who was working inside the building when they found articles of clothing and heard noises inside, leading them to believe someone was there and likely living in the barn that shouldn’t be.

- 3:14 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Found phone and turned it into dispatch, placed into property for safekeeping until owner can be found and notified.
- 5:01 pm, Other, Bascom Hill. Request For Assistance - Contacted person after they were seen flying a drone on Bascom Hill near Abe Lincoln. Contacted and advised of TFR.
- 5:14 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited person after they were located sleeping in a 6th floor bathroom, will be cited for UAL.
- 5:46 pm, Found Property, Lot 14. Placed red purse belonging to person into safekeeping, until owner can be contacted.
- 9:27 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Primate Annex. Stopped/Cited person for UAL 1st (Muni) after observing them walking along the bike path with a large beer mug filled with beer, Verbally Warned for Possess Open Container on Street (Muni).
- 11:35 pm, Battery, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Child Abuse-Intentionally Cause Harm, False Imprisonment and Disorderly Conduct after they battered a minor.
- 11:44 pm, Other, Lot 91. Obstruction - Arrested/Released with Citations person for UAL 1st (Muni) and Resisting or Obstructing Officer (County) after they engaged in a futile attempt to flee from Police Bicycle Unit Officers after being observed conspicuously hiding an open container of alcohol.

- 5:59 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person while MFR conducted a medical evaluation, refused transport to local hospital.
- 7:41 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted outside agency with a cell phone examination.
- 9:03 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, University Ave. Person was operating a UW Fleet vehicle and backed into a legally parked vehicle and left the scene, driver was cited for hit n run with a mandatory court date, after initially not reporting the accident.
- 5:40 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Dayton St. & Bernard Ct. Located a two-car accident at the intersection of W. Dayton St. and Bernard Ct. Made contact with drivers, no injuries.
- 5:56 pm, Theft/Larceny, Union South. Contacted person on the northwest side of Union South after Union South Building Manager requested the person had stolen the wheelchair they were seated in. Person verbally informed they were banned from Union South property and Building Manager to provide ban letter.
- 9:49 pm, Information, Social Sciences. Probation Violation - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for UW Closing Hours - Building, County Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and County Possession of THC after they were reported as smoking marijuana on the 8th floor after closing hours.
- 12:08 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR responded for person needing medical assistance, transported to local hospital and cited for UAL.
- 12:10 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they were found sleeping on a table in a common area, MFR transported to local hospital for evaluation, cited for UAL.
- 12:52 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Transported person to local hospital for detox after being found in the bathroom, will be cited for UAL 1st.
- 1:10 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted person for UAL 1st, and verbally warned for Fake ID (confiscated/destroyed).

- 5:54 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 67. Contacted Transportation Services via phone reporting vehicle struck exit kiosk on the west side of the ramp.
- 8:38 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Union South. Cited person for trespass-remain after notice after they were called in being in Union South.
- 10:00 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported patient to local hospital.
- 12:21 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person who held door open too long for food delivery.
- 5:38 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 17. Contacted person for hit and run that occurred to their unoccupied vehicle.
- 11:07 pm, Fire, Discovery Building. Small fire in Steenbock in Orchard kitchen, sprinkler system extinguished fire and then caused water damage in the east zone of Floor 1 and Basement. ServPro contacted to mitigate damage. Trades requested to assist and reset fire suppression systems.
- 11:45 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited person after they were located in bathroom, intoxicated not incapacitated.

- 12:56 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, University Ave. & N. Park Street. Contacted/performed detox evaluation/cited for UAL 1st (Muni) after observing them vomiting out of rear passenger window.
- 1:30 am, Resisting Arrest, Gordon Commons. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Resisting and Probation Violation warrant, after reports they had been camping for an extend period of time in the bushes on the north side of the building, brief foot pursuit.
- 1:45 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Residence Hall. MFR transported person to local hospital for detox, will be cited for UAL 1st after confrontation with roommate.
- 1:47 am, Check Person, State & N. Park Street. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for theft.
- 3:12 am, Other, W. Johnson St. & East Campus Mall. Traffic Stop - Stopped/Cited driver for Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed, Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, and Improper Display of Registration after observing them on Langdon Street.
