Daily Blotter for July 15th 2025

  • 3:01 am, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
  • 7:39 am, Resisting Arrest, Elvehjem Museum. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for resisting/obstructing x2, battery to Law Enforcement Officer, entry onto a construction site, and cited for failure to obey postage signage.
  • 8:45 am, Information, Location Redacted. Contacted person who was reporting a sensitive crime that occurred at a local hospital, referred to City of Madison Police Department.
  • 9:35 am, Theft/Larceny, Local Hospital. Contacted/Cited person for UW Code 18.12 (6)(B) theft $100-$1000/concealment of clothing from local hospital gift shop, items returned, and person transported off location off campus.
  • 2:23 pm, Check Person, Goodspeed Pier. Contacted/Verbally Warned person for disorderly conduct for inappropriate behavior and causing a disturbance, person requested to leave the Union area for 24 hours.
  • 3:55 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Contacted person after their wallet and contents were turned into UWPD after being found at Brittingham Beach off North Shore Drive.
  • 4:34 pm, Theft/Larceny, HC White. Contacted person who reported their bike was taken from the area of HC White College Library.
  • 7:01 pm, Found Property, Lifesaving Station/W. Gilman Street. Recovered stolen bicycle and returned to owner after LRAS staff member observed someone abandon a bike on the northeast corner of the LRAS building.
  • 11:02 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Ronald McDonald House. Assisted Shorewood Hills PD with a disturbance at the Ronald McDonald House.
  • 12:05 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Executed Blood Search Warrant on behalf of the Marquette County Sheriff's Office.
