- 7:09 am, Graffiti, Lot 17. Contacted person to facilitate removal of graffiti on door 106 written in silver sharpie.
- 8:54 am, Follow-up, UWPD. Spoke to person who reported another person made comments towards them at an athletic event.
- 9:42 am, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they reported their backpack with person items missing from dining hall after forgetting to take them after they left the dining hall.
- 11:31 am, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they reported their MacBook laptop stolen.
- 1:00 pm, Fraud, UWPD. Person received email about a part time remote job however after cashing check it was determined to be fraudulent.
- 1:25 pm, Information, Park Street. Contacted person regarding comment a program participant made after an altercation with another participant regarding a firearm.
- 1:30 pm, Fraud, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they reported sending money via apple cash text on 10/02/24 to a phone number listed in an Instagram message they received.
- 1:48 pm, Emergency Detention, Local Hospital. Placed person experiencing mental health crisis into protective custody.
- 2:05 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Provided investigative assistance to Dane County Sheriff’s Office Ref. Dane County Case involving person who was reporting staling behavior.
- 7:36 pm, Information, Local Hospital. Person reported another person exposed themselves and made sexually charged comments towards them.
- 8:47 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Near West Playing Fields. Person injured while playing flag football and transported to local hospital by MFR.
- 12:18 am, Bail Jumping, James Madison Park. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Felony Bail Jumping x 4, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug paraphernalia, Failure to install IID and criminal OAR. Cited for Unauthorized display of registration plates, non-registration of Auto and County possession of THC.

- 1:36 pm, Theft/Larceny, Holt Center. Contacted person who reported a package from Best Buy was stolen, as the delivery driver left the package outside of the Holt Center.
- 1:47 pm, Found Property, Walnut Street Heating Plant. Found wallet turned into UWPD and subject has picked up property.
- 1:51 pm, Theft/Larceny, Meat Sciences. Contacted person who reported theft of package Sept 23rd at 12:42pm.
- 2:32 pm, Information, Local Hospital. Contacted hospital security who turned over drug paraphernalia confiscated from patient.
- 4:23 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 36. Contacted person who reported their loaner vehicle from Smart Motors was dinged while it was parked in the lower level of Lot 36.
- 4:38 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Contacted persons regarding motor vehicle accident in Lot 75.

- 1:38 pm, Burglary, Local hospital. Contacted person who reported 8 boxes of needles and 2 boxes of Band-Aids were taken from locked room.
- 10:41 pm, Check Person, Humanities Building. Contacted persons as they were found engaging in inappropriate sexual activities outside the Humanities Building. Detained person who was aggressive upon contact. Persons released without further incident.
- 3:34 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Persons notified housefellows that another person was vomiting due to alcohol.

- 3:50 pm, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person who wanted to report their backpack containing valuable items was taken after leaving it behind in the Jorns Courtyard after an event.
- 7:32 pm, Eluding, Memorial Union. Attempted to stop a black motorcycle/sport bike which previously eluded Officer earlier in the evening as it was parked on the sidewalk to the Memorial Union.
- 10:38 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted subject experiencing mental health crisis.
- 1:06 am, Other, Grainger Hall. Closing Hours Violation - Contacted/Cited person for Closing Hours - Building after they were reported as wandering within the building after hours.

- 5:15 pm, Lost Property, UWPD. Contacted person and their interpreter when they came into the UWPD lobby to report that they had lost their wallet which contained many important documents.
- 5:17 pm, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for criminal trespass to dwelling x3, disorderly conduct x2, and UW bypass security device x2 after numerous residents reported a subject was causing a disturbance on the third floor and entering multiple rooms.

- 12:32 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Biochem Labs. Transported person to detox after they were reportedly banging on the door of the Biochemistry building and yelling loudly.
- 12:53 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited/Transported by MFD to local hospital person for UAL 1st after they were seen being carried into the building, unresponsive but breathing.

- 1:28 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited person for UAL 1st after they were found struggling to stay awake and walk.
- 2:00 am, Drug Violation, Residence Hall. Verbally warned persons for being in possession of drug paraphernalia 18.09(2)(a).

- 5:52 pm, Criminal Damage, Bascom Hall. Contacted person regarding their bicycle lock which was damaged.
- 8:38 pm, Other, Residence Hall. Lew and Lascivious - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect after someone saw them exposing themselves and urinating on a bench, and masturbating. Probable cause for lewd/lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping.
- 9:01 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Person transported to local hospital; no police assistance needed.
- 11:55 pm, Underage Alcohol Violation, Babcock & Observatory Drives. Contacted person after observing them carrying two Busch Light cans. Cited for UAL 1st.
- 12:35 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Lowell Center. MFD transported person to local hospital for incapacitation due to alcohol after they were found in need of assistance.
- 1:27 am, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Placed person into protective custody for mental health crisis and transported to local hospital.
- 1:36 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited person for UAL 1st after house fellows located them sleeping in a bathroom stall.

- 1:20 am, Theft/Larceny, LaBahn Arena. Contacted person who reported their bike charger to be stolen from Labahn bike racks from 4 Pm - 11:30 PM.
- 3:26 pm, Theft/Larceny, Noland Hall. Black Segway Ninebot electric scooter (valued at $400) was stolen from Noland Hall on 9/26/24 around 1526. Scooter was recovered and returned to the victim.
- 4:30 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Linden & Babcock Drives. Contacted Metro bus driver regarding crash with bicyclist.
- 8:41 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing a mental health crisis.
- 9:48 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Received found property, put into safekeeping for owner to retrieve.
- 9:59 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Stopped and detained person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 10:08 pm, Other, Wingra Springs Lot. Suspicious Vehicle - Verbally warned persons for closing hours violation and fake ID’s.
- 10:32 pm, Resisting Arrest, Red Gym. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Resisting or Obstructing Officer after suspect attempted to flee a contact for Unauthorized Access to Roofs on a bicycle.
- 5:18 am, Other, University Ave. & N. Charter St. Stopped persons for Failure to Stop for Flashing Red Traffic Control Signal (x2) and Driving on Bicycle Lane. Persons also cited for Failure to Stop for Flashing Red Traffic Signal (x1) before being verbally warned for Driving on Bicycle Lane and Failure to Stop for Flashing Red Traffic Signal (x1).

- 12:15 pm, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person regarding theft of two rings, one silver band ($50) and one infinity design ring ($100), from next to the leverage row machine in the "Power House" weight room between approx 7:30pm and 9:30pm on 9/23/24.
- 1:42 pm, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person who reported their bike was stolen from outside of the Nicholas Recreation Center.
- 3:30 pm, Information, Park & Drake Streets. MPD advised at approximately subject has been identified regarding thefts on campus.
- 4:30 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person who experienced an injury and declined transport to local hospital.
- 7:28 pm, Theft/Larceny, Educational Sciences Building. Contacted person who reported their electric scooter was stolen from the courtyard by Educational Sciences building.
- 7:38 pm, Theft/Larceny, Mechanical Engineering. Contacted person who reported on 9/25/2024, between 6:00p-7:40p, their electric scooter was stolen from the bike racks outside of Mechanical Engineering.
- 7:51 pm, Fraud, Residence Hall. Contacted person reporting they had been scammed out of $130 attempting to purchase WI football student tickets.
- 8:19 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted staff reporting person needing medical assistance. Contact with person and they declined assistance.
- 9:42 pm, Theft/Larceny, LaBahn Arena. Contacted persons regarding their scooters being stolen from LaBahn Arena.
Daily Blotter for September 25th 2024
- 5:42 am, Eluding, Regent & Mills Streets. Attempted to stop vehicle for failure to obey traffic control signal (wrong way on a one-way street - Charter St). Vehicle eluded, no pursuit. Vehicle located and owner admitted to fleeing traffic stop. Cited for Criminal (Misd - 346.04 (2t)) Fleeing, Operating after Revocation (Forfeiture), and Failure to Obey Traffic Sign (One-Way). Issued citations and released.
- 9:44 am, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person regarding theft of her their red and silver Giant hybrid style bike (value $100, unknown SN) from the racks on ECM and Johnson St between 11:45am and 1:20pm on 9/23/24. Bike located at another location on campus and will be returned to owner.
- 1:35 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Local Hospital. Contact with person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 4:43 pm, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Placed person into protective custody experiencing mental health crisis.
