Daily Blotter for February 9th 2026
- 3:28 am, Disorderly Conduct, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Disorderly Conduct after causing a disturbance in a residence hall.
- 11:58 am, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person who reported McDonalds delivery food taken without consent. Cited two people who were identified by camera and building access logs.
- 2:00 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Kohl Center. Contacted person after they were struck in the face by the Spirit Squad with a flag pole. MFR evaluated, not transported.
- 6:03 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Lot 6. Contacted/Cited person for disobeying posted sign in lot 6 (trespass) and verbally warned for smoking and possession of open intoxicants before being escorted out.
- 8:07 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Assisted outside agency with an adult who ran away from family. Individual located and returned home.
- 10:22 pm, Harassment, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding harassment from ex-partner, both live off campus, MPD case created but was instructed to obtain harassment injunction.
Daily Blotter for February 8th 2026
- 2:10 pm, Resisting Arrest, LaBahn Arena. Contacted person after suspicious activity while going through gate security, consent search located small bottle of alcohol, person cited for UW possession alcohol, verbally warned for resistance and not allowed back to Athletic events today.
- 11:56 pm, Check Person, Frances & Langdon Streets. Contacted person after they were seen trying to conceal alcohol.
- 12:15 am, Drug Violation, Chazen Museum. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect after UWPD Dispatch located them outside the Chazen and recognize they were the suspect from another case. Person also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC and possession of fentanyl.
- 12:31 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited person for UAL after house fellows requested assistance with person intoxicated not incapacitated.
- 1:49 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital due to alcohol incapacitation, UAL citation to be delivered at a later time.
Daily Blotter for February 7th 2026
- 11:25 am, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Person reported a theft of door name tags/decorations from the front desk office door. Cameras do not show area, no suspects at this time, still under investigation.
- 4:40 pm, Found Property, Library Mall. Found White Apple Air Pods at Library. Air Pods placed into evidence locker for safekeeping.
- 11:05 pm, Drug Violation, Frautschi Point Lot. Contacted persons in the Frautschi Point Lot for closing hours after oror of marijuana detected and admission to smoking in the vehicle. Both persons verbally warned for closing hours and verbally warned for Marijuana after PC search of vehicle and confiscation of one marijuana blunt.
- 1:22 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person after observing them not able to walk and being helped by friends on University Ave/Lake St. MFR transported to local hospital due to alcohol incapacitation.

- 9:21 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported to local hospital person needing medical assistance.
- 10:19 am, Disorderly Conduct, Helen C. White. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for two counts of disorderly conducted and cited for trespassing remain after notice after they created a disturbance.
- 10:46 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 36. Traffic Stop - Contacted driver of vehicle and driver of another vehicle regarding an automobile accident they were involved in at the intersection of Elm Dr. and Observatory Dr. Accident investigation ongoing, cited one for driving without DL First and verbally warned for expired registration.
- 3:08 pm, Found Property, N. Charter Street. Phone turned in with crack on screen, unable to identify owner, placed into property.
- 1:52 am, Other, University Ave. & Walnut Street. Traffic Stop - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver after being stopped for lane deviation and revoked RO, then cited for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Parole Violation. Arrested passenger for Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Bail Jumping x2 and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Neither driver or passenger would claim sole ownership of drugs, both transported to Dane County Jail without incident.

- 1:56 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital, no police assistance needed.
- 3:01 pm, Warrant Served, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for active warrants. Person has active bans from both Memorial Union and UW Madison Campus cited for trespass to land, remain after notice.
- 3:17 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Confirmed door was secure and located no issues in the room.
- 3:37 pm, Information, Lot 46. Person called to report noticing damage to the state-owned vehicle.
- 5:19 pm, Damage to Property, Engineering Research. Staff located 4-6in of sewage in basement, unknown source. Building Manager and lab managers on scene. ServePro requested.
- 8:05 pm, Bail Jumping, Humanities Building. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia after they were reported to be in the building after posted closing hours by security.
- 8:22 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person after they were observed rolling around on the sidewalk, MFR transported to local hospital.
- 8:38 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Humanities Building. Cited person for Trespass to Land Remain After Notice and has an active ban from the Humanities Building, was gone upon police arrival, citations to be issued during next contact.
- 10:40 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Lot 63. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for criminal trespass to a medical facility and misd. bail jumping after they were asked to leave facility multiple times.
- 12:38 am, Damage to Property, Lot 63. Hospital Security informed UWPD of a damaged exit gate on level B.
- 4:47 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Lot 83. Contacted person in the lowest level of lot 83, cited for trespassing, released without incident for this incident and other one in Humanities.
Daily Blotter for February 4th 2026
- 3:17 am, Warrant Served, Psychology Building. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for obstruction, felony bail jumping, and a warrant out of Columbia County. Suspect was located in Lot 20 after leaving the building prior to police arrival and gave false identification when questioned.

- 6:24 pm, Theft/Larceny, East Campus Mall. Contacted person regarding their e-bike which was stolen from outside EHS.
- 10:57 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Humanities Building. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect after custodial staff found them sleeping on the 7th floor, cited for Trespass Remain After Notice, ban letters & prior citations re-issued.
- 12:11 am, Theft/Larceny, Nicholas Recreation Center. Contacted person who reported their E-scooter was stolen outside the Nicholas Recreation Center.
- 2:31 am, Other, Regent & Lathrop. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for OWI 1st, Stopping/standing in crosswalk and improper right turn, IFA refusal due to not providing an answer and warrant executed.
Daily Blotter for February 2nd 2026
- 5:38 am, Warrant Served, University Ave. & East Campus Mall. Traffic Stop from previous days’ briefing sheet – Stopped/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for warrant then was immediately released and provided ride to Schmidt’s to pick up vehicle after failure to obey traffic sign (wrong way).
- 10:42 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital, no police assistance needed.
- 10:43 am, Damage to Property, Lowell Hall. Emergency Exit stairwell from lobby (eastside of building) sprinkler head froze and broke causing water system to activate for that sprinkler head. Water damage occurred in the 1st floor Lobby and 2 rooms in the basement, B1A and B107.
- 11:57 am, Found Property, UWPD. Attempted contact by phone and text with wallet owner, no contact made, Fake IL ID confiscated/destroyed, placed into found property.
- 2:12 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Memorial Union. Cited person after they grabbed another person’s arm while trying to give them their handkerchief while waiting for a Metro Bus. No charges filed, but cited for Disorderly Conduct, person released on scene and is banned from Memorial Union for the remainder of the day.
- 2:17 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person needing medical attention, UWPD transported to local hospital.
- 7:37 pm, Damage to Property, Camp Randall Stadium. Fire suppression leak in concourse level storage room of south end zone (X1550A). Athletics staff and MDF on scene to turn off water.
- 11:07 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital for medical treatment, no police assistance needed.
- 2:24 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Humanities Building. Cited person for trespass to land remain after notice after they were escorted out of humanities by Custodial Staff. They currently have an active ban and is aware, additional citations for other cases were delivered.

- 12:47 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted person who was incapacitated from alcohol, transported by MFR to local hospital, UAL to be issued.
- 3:36 pm, Criminal Damage, Lot 29. Contacted person after they reported their vehicle was egged and sustained damage to its hood and front windshield.
- 5:15 pm, Damage to Property, Chazen Museum. UWPD Security discovered a pipe rupture coming from LL#171.
- 5:47 pm, Damage to Property, Camp Randall Stadium. Substantial flooding in Football weight room (north end of Badger Alley). Athletics facilities on scene/stopped water.
- 12:04 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted person after being found by house fellows, intoxicated not incapacitated from alcohol, citation to be mailed.
- 1:42 am, Check Person, State Street. Contacted persons after they were arguing and having a physical interaction over the whereabouts of another person. Detained one after they refused to comply with the investigation, released both.
- 2:37 am, Operating While Intoxicated, N. Henry & W. Gorham Street. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for operating wrong way on one way, arrested for OWI 1st, 12-hour hold.
- 5:38 am, Other, University Ave. & East Campus Mall. Traffic Stop - No information provided at time of briefing release.
Daily Blotter for January 31st 2026
- 10:06 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, University Ave & Park Street. Assisted outside agency with traffic control for motor vehicle vs pedestrian accident at the intersection of N Park St and University Ave.
- 10:21 am, Other, Library Mall. Protest - Crowd reached approx 1000. No issues were reported or observed by UWPD. Crowd marched to Capitol.
- 11:56 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person needing medical assistance but declined transportation to local hospital, gave ride to residence.
- 3:13 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Apple I-Phone found in Lot 45, unknown owner, packaged for safekeeping.
- 3:37 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person at residence during medical emergency, MFR transported to local hospital.
- 6:10 pm, Drug Violation, Lot 46. Contacted person who located suspected drug paraphernalia on top of the southeast Level 5 E-phone, disposed of at UWPD.
- 12:20 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Location Redacted. Cited person for UAL 1st., MFR transported to local hospital due to incapacitation due to alcohol.
- 1:37 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they were found in bathroom, Confiscated/Verbally Warned for possession of fake id, cited for UAL 1st, released without incident.
- 2:19 am, Drug Violation, Residence Hall. Contacted persons after a report of the odor of marijuana was coming from residence, drugs and paraphernalia located along with alcohol. Persons verbally warned for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia, one cited for UAL 1st, confiscated and disposed of alcohol and drugs/paraphernalia.
- 2:52 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University & N. Randall Ave. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver for Failure to Obey Traffic Sign (Authorized Vehicles Only), Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, Improper Left Turn, Operating While Impaired (1st), and Operating With Prohibited Alcohol Concentration (1st).
- 3:05 am, Other, S. Basset St. & W. Washington Ave. Traffic Stop – Stopped driver for speed, improper right turn, and operating while suspended. Cited for OWS, verbally warned for possession concealed electronic weapon, possession of marijuana, speed, improper right turn and open intoxicants.
