- 8:53 am, Information, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding unwanted contact from another person, investigation ongoing.
- 11:36 am, Other, LRAS. Report number taken in error.
- 2:41 pm, Other, Location Redacted. Gave person a ride to a local hospital at their request needing medical and mental health treatment.
- 5:18 pm, Information, Pyle Center. Contacted person after they reported someone damaged their bike.
- 7:03 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for misdemeanor retail theft 943.50(1m)(b), misdemeanor theft by taking financial card 943.41(3)(a), and misdemeanor fraudulent use of a financial card 943.41(5)(a) at the Memorial Union.
- 9:06 pm, Check Person, Residence Hall. Contacted/Cited person for remain after notice after noticing them on cameras violating their campus ban, cited and released without incident.
Daily Blotter for June 23rd 2026
- 8:33 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Dairy Forge. Contacted persons after a vehicle scraped the other one while attempting to back up. Information exchanged between drivers due to being work vehicles and were able to be driven away.
- 12:25 pm, Found Property, UWPD. iPad Pro and various keys turned in to UWPD. Unable to locate owner information. Property submitted for safekeeping.
- 1:59 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lake Mendota Dr. & Eagle Heights. Contacted person operating a metro bus that was side swiped by another vehicle that did not remain on scene and was verbally warned for non-exchange of information.
- 4:34 pm, Domestic, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect after a disturbance between them and another person.
- 1:15 am, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Contact with person experiencing mental health crisis.

- 1:46 am, Other, East Campus Mall & W. Johnson Street. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Contacted/Verbally Warned driver for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Required Lamps Lit (no headlights) and for an Improper Left Turn. Contacted/Released/Verbally Warned persons for obstructing after they walked away from traffic stop after being told to stay in location they were stopped. Arrested/Transported to Dane County Jail person for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, carrying a Conceal Weapon Without a Permit and Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, vehicle towed to Schmidt’s .

- 9:48 am, Other, Library Mall. Demonstrations & Protests - Approximately 30 people marched along Lakeshore Path through Alumni Park, Library Mall, to State Street Mall., no issues with group.
- 10:01 am, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Person reported their airpod headphones stolen.
- 2:43 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Henry Vilas Zoo. Outside agency requested K9 Mavi to track missing person that was last seen outside the zoo, person located inside the Zoo.
- 3:03 pm, Other, UWPD. Request For Assistance - Out of state agency called requesting assistance regarding an old case, referred to outside agency.
- 1:46 am, Other, East Campus Mall & W. Johnson Street. Weapons Violation - Incident ongoing at time of briefing release.
- 3:28 am, Disorderly Conduct, Residence Hall. Contacted person after an earlier contact down the street.

- 7:15 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Person transported to local hospital needing medical treatment.
- 10:14 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Person reported damage to driver rear part of their vehicle in Lot 75.
- 1:26 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital for medical treatment.
- 3:22 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital needing medical treatment.
- 6:03 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person after their bike lock was cut and bike stolen.
- 8:00 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 11:06 pm, Drug Violation, Lot 101. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Verbally Warned persons for stopping/standing where prohibited, cited for UW Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, verbally warned for possession of open intoxicant in motor vehicle.

- 7:53 am, Trespassing/After Hours, Fluno Center. Cited person for trespass- remain after notice after they were observed inside of the Fluno Center, which they currently has an active ban.
- 9:35 am, Information, Location Redacted. Contacted person regarding a person who attempted to gain access to the building on and potential previous confrontation with individual in question.
- 10:26 am, Found Property, HSLC. Contacted UWPD Security regarding a sharp object, found in the planter near the northeast bike racks for the building, unknown owner, packaged and placed into safekeeping at UWPD.
- 11:46 am, Check Person, Location Redacted. Checked the area on foot and with the UWPD drone team after notification that someone was on the roof, confirmed no one was on the roof.
- 12:05 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted outside agency with two cell phone examinations.
- 8:30 pm, Information, Location Redacted. Spoke with person regarding information from previous case. Investigation ongoing.
- 12:50 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Henry & Johnson Streets. Assisted outside agency with a confrontation outside Sotto's, detained suspect and released to outside agency, no further assistance needed at this time.

- 8:40 am, Sensitive Crime, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for carrying a concealed knife, felony bail jumping, two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping along with a probation hold, in addition to being charged with sensitive crime at local hospital.
- 11:30 am, Theft/Larceny, Eagle Heights. Contacted by telephone person calling to report a package taken from outside their apartment without their permission.
- 3:17 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 46. Hit and run crash by person into gate arm at Lot 46 and gate arm completely broken.
- 4:40 pm, Disorderly Conduct, Lot 63. Contacted/Cited/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect who was discharged from local hospital and caused a disturbance when leaving for Disorderly Conduct.
- 10:39 pm, Drug Violation, Memorial Library. Contacted persons outside the Memorial Library smoking marijuana, cited one for UWS possession of marijuana and cited the other for UAL 1st.
- 2:06 am, Other, Johnson & Brooks Streets. Contacted/Transported to UWPD person needing assistance and was picked up by friend, vehicle towed to Schmidt’s due to damage to vehicle.
Daily Blotter for June 17th 2026
- 8:16 am, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Verbally warned person for theft and trespassing at the Memorial Union then they took items from the Brat Stand without paying and verbally banned from the Memorial Union for 24 hours.
- 8:58 am, Check Person, Local Hospital. Contacted person after it was reported they had a weapon on their person the previous day, while visiting a patient in a local hospital. Gave permission to search their property with negative results. Verbally warned to for bringing weapon into the local hospital.
- 3:00 pm, Other, Location Redacted. Contacted person who reported receiving a phone call from a person they have a no-contact restraining order against. Warning letter sent to said person advising consequences of further violations.
- 9:16 pm, Bail Jumping, Memorial Union. Contacted/Arrested/Transported/Cited for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping and released to local hospital staff due to incapacitation from alcohol.
- 9:24 pm, Information, Local Hospital. Contacted persons when local hospital security requested assistance during an argument between the persons over another person in their care that was evaluated and deemed ok.
- 12:53 am, Eluding, Randall & University Aves. Attempted to stop Motorcycle for expired registration, driver dropped off passenger and fled the scene. Passenger identified, attempts to locate driver at residence when transporting passenger at residence, unable to locate driver. PC for fleeing and eluding, obstruction, operating after revoked for driver, investigation ongoing.

- 9:56 am, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted person needing support and transportation.
- 9:52 am, Graffiti, Lot 2. Documented graffiti (spray paint light blue, red, black) on two walls on the north side of upper parking lot. Also note, graffiti on back of dumpster.
- 1:31 pm, Theft/Larceny, Humanities Building. Contacted by telephone person who reported their bike and cable lock stolen from bike racks on the west side of Humanities.
- 1:41 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted/Transported to Luke House person who is in need of support and assisting with resources.
- 3:28 pm, Found Property, Memorial Union. Contacted person after they reported their cell phone stolen from the Memorial Union, after further investigation phone was located by a Custodian and brought to the Information Desk for safe keeping, phone turned over to UWPD and can be picked up from UWPD by owner at a later date.
- 7:15 pm, Damage to Property, Lot 76. Contacted person after they struck a cement bollard entering Lot 76 in a state owned vehicle.

- 5:49 am, Death Investigation, Location Redacted. Responded to a report of a person needing medical assistance, unfortunately person was declared deceased.
- 10:08 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 5:41 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, University Ave. Assisted outside agency in arresting suspect for Strong Armed Robbery (Attempted) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- 8:26 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Assisted local hospital due to medical emergency from another county.
- 1:55 am, Damage to Property, Steinbock Library. Contacted custodial staff after reports of water leakage in the basement.
