- 1:50 pm, Graffiti, Helen C. White. Graffiti "all workers unite" with a raised fist spray painted in black on the southeast corner of the building.
- 4:07 pm, Graffiti, W. Johnson Street. Graffiti "Benone" located next to front entrance of McBurney Disability Resource Center.
- 8:41 pm, Bail Jumping, W. Johnson & N. Charter Streets. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for OWI Bail Jumping after conducting a traffic stop for wrong way driving. Also cited for operating without an IID installed and operating while revoked.
- 10:43 pm, Eluding, W. Dayton & N. Charter Streets. Attempted to stop vehicle for failure to obey stop sign. Vehicle eluded and was last seen going OB Monroe Street near Oakland. No pursuit.

- 9:18 am, Theft/Larceny, Sellery Residence Hall. Contacted person who reported their backpack was taken from near the basketball courts at Sellery Residence Hall.
- 6:36 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR transported person to local hospital after accident while riding their bicycle.
- 7:28 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Called to local hospital Emergency Department by hospital security to assist patient involved in accident earlier in day who was now medical emergency.
- 11:52 pm, Follow-up, University Ave. & Gillman St. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Theft and Bail Jumping, stolen items recovered and returned to owner.

- 10:44 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 56. Contacted person who backed their vehicle into another vehicle in Lot 56, information exchanged between parties, no reported needed.
- 11:12 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Transported person to local hospital for detox evaluation without issue.
- 12:13 pm, Damage to Property, Seminole Hwy. Contacted person who was driving vehicle north on Seminole Hwy when a 50' tall cottonwood tree fell on their vehicle causing extensive damage.
- 2:45 pm, Found Property, Residence Hall. Secured a clear drug paraphernalia item from housefellow outside of residence hall dorm room.
- 4:50 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Union South. Contacted person who reported finding damage to their vehicle after it was parked in Union South Parking Ramp.
- 5:02 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 8. Dispatched to a hit and run crash and located 2 damaged vehicles. Suspect driver was located, stopped and cited for hit and run.
- 5:14 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing medical emergency, EMS responded and transported them to a local hospital.
- 11:27 pm, Other, S. Park & Erin Streets. Traffic Stop - Stopped/Verbally Warned person for Improper Display of Registration and Verbally Warned for possession of THC.
- 12:06 am, Other, W. Wingra St. & Fish Hatchery Road. Traffic Stop - Stopped/Verbally Warned person for operating without required lights lit.
- 12:46 am, Warrant Served, W. Johnson & State Streets. Stopped/Verbally Warned for Violating Solid Red Traffic Control Signal, however driver had an outstanding active Bench Warrant for Hit and Run/Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle. Driver Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail without incident.
- 1:54 am, Found Property, University Ave. Took possession of black Cadillac key fob turned in by passerby. Key fob located in area of 800 block of University Ave, logged into property for safekeeping.

- 10:48 am, Check Person, Camp Randall Arch. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Disorderly Conduct, campus ban enforced.
- 6:33 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person after reports they had left a local hospital and said they were going to harm themselves.
- 8:41 pm, Burglary, Residence Hall. Contacted person after they reported returning to their unlocked dorm and finding $450 removed from their wallets.
- 12:56 am, Other, Camp Randall. Unauthorized presence - Contacted persons after they were observed by CSC security in the fire lane and interior area of Gate 4, intoxicated not incapacitated. Unauthorized presence citations to be issued.
- 1:23 am, Other, University Ave. & N. Frances Street. Traffic Stop - Stopped/Verbally Warned person for Disregarding Official Traffic Sign (Wrong Way), odor of marijuana detected and marijuana observed in plain view. Driver was cited for Operating Without Valid License and Open Intoxicants in motor vehicle.
- 3:05 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Johnson St. & East Campus Mall. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver for OWI 1st, unsafe lane deviation and driving on sidewalk.
- 5:01 am, Graffiti, Camp Randall Stadium. Contacted CSC employee regarding graffiti at Gate 1.

- 8:28 am, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted staff through the door who stated they would be complete in 5-7 minutes.
- 10:08 am, Battery, Medical Science Center. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Criminal Trespass and Disorderly C after committed Battery against another person due to active ban in the location this occurred.
- 11:04 am, Damage to Property, Upham Woods. Email received from Upham Woods regarding damage to gates on their property.
- 11:53 am, Information, Bascom Hill. Contacted person about concerning email to Office of The Chancellor.
- 1:25 pm, Criminal Damage, Witte Hall. Contacted person who reported 9 exit signs damaged (front covers taken off) on the 9th floor of Witte Hall.
- 2:20 pm, Other, Memorial Union. Probation Violation - Contacted and Verbally Warned person for setting up big screen TV, PS5, and using University power in a pavilion just to the West of Hoofers along the Lakeshore Path.
- 3:00 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 46. Contacted Transportation Services regarding the Lot 46 Lake St entrance gate being hit and broken by University employee who reported accident.
- 9:53 pm, Other, N. Henry & W. Gorham Streets. Stopped/Verbally Warned driver for wrong way driving. Cited passengers for UAL 1st. Verbally Warned one passenger for possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing open intoxicants in Motor Vehicle, confiscated/disposed numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
- 1:35 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Wisconsin Ave. & Langdon Street. Arrested/Cited driver for OWI 1st, unsafe lane deviation and failure to stop at stop line.

- 9:25 am, Other, Discovery Building. Information/Ban Letter Issuance - Contacted person and presented them with ban letter for Discovery Building.
- 12:39 pm, Damage to Property, Local Hospital. Contacted patient at local hospital after they pulled a paper towel dispenser off the wall in the Emergency Department waiting room bathroom.
- 1:14 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. MFR met with person who denied transport to local hospital after medical incident.
- 4:50 pm, Theft/Larceny, Sellery Hall. Contacted/Cited/Released without incident persons for theft after they took property out of the donation bin and dumpster without consent and loaded it into their vehicle.
- 5:51 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Eagle Heights. Contact with person reporting damage to their vehicle while unoccupied and parked in Eagle Heights parking lot.
- 8:49 pm, Lost Property, UWPD Lobby. Contacted person in UWPD lobby to report their passport being lost in order to obtain a new passport.
- 10:22 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, University Bay & Marsh Drives. Contacted persons after one struck the other vehicle while attempting an illegal U-Turn. One driver to be cited for illegal U-turn and failure to yield to right of way.
- 1:25 am, Emergency Detention, Location Redacted. Served an Affidavit of Service to return patient to a more restrictive environment per the request of Journey Mental Health.
- 4:26 am, Other, Elvehjem. Other/UW Code Violation - Contacted/Cited persons for Unauthorized Picnicking Or Camping after finding them sleeping in an erected tent.

- 7:14 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted patient at a local hospital who was experiencing mental health crisis.
- 10:02 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 59. Contacted person regarding a motor vehicle crash involving UW Transportation Services vehicle after making an abrupt right turn and struck a concrete barrier adjacent to the greenhouse entrance.
- 10:03 am, Other, Location Redacted. Contact with person experiencing mental health issues.
- 12:20 pm, Check Person, Chazen Museum. Contact with person who was involved in an altercation with another person outside of Chazen Museum.
- 1:50 pm, Other, UWPD Lobby. Spoke with person in UWPD lobby regarding contacts on campus.
- 1:26 pm, Theft/Larceny, Bakke Recreation Center. Contacted person regarding their bicycle being stolen from the Bakke Rec Center.
- 2:03 pm, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted persons who reported miscellaneous items taken from various Goodwill Donation Bins located in the residence halls.
- 6:19 pm, Theft/Larceny, HC White Library. Contacted person who reported items that went missing while studying at HC White College Library.
- 8:30 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person injured while playing soccer and transported to local hospital by MFR.
- 10:13 pm, Bail Jumping, Educational Sciences. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for bail jumping and disorderly conduct.
- 12:06 am, Eluding, University & N. Randall Ave. Attempted to stop a mini-bike for speeding and failure to obey red traffic signal (x3) as it drove westbound on University Avenue from ECM. Operator eluded as he drove wrong way and into oncoming traffic on Campus Drive, no pursuit. Mini-bike eventually pursued by Maple Bluff, suspect located by drone, Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail, property placed in UWPD safekeeping, citations to be mailed.
- 1:40 am, Underage Alcohol Violation, Residence Hall. Cited person for UW UAL 1st after they were found unconscious/breathing due to alcohol intoxication.
Daily Blotter for May 6th 2025
- 6:58 am, Graffiti, Memorial Library. Located poster which was glued to wall. Unable to determine what the poster depicted due to an attempt to remove it.
- 11:40 am, Information, Local Hospital. Person reports suspected abuse within elevator. After review of the camera footage, no suspected abuse occurred. Due to nature of complaint, informational report to be completed.
- 12:16 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 2:28 pm, Theft/Larceny, Local Hospital. Theft of Copper from the loading dock "Copper for kids" bin.
- 2:51 pm, Other, Residence Hall. Identity Theft - Contacted person regarding emails they received about two new bank accounts being opened under their name, suspected identity theft and advised on next steps with credit bureaus and bank accounts.
- 7:21 pm, Graffiti, Lot 105. Contact person who reported observing graffiti on the large dumpster in Lot 105.
- 9:38 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Library. Contacted person who reported their scooter stolen from the bike racks on the south side of Memorial Library.
- 11:59 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Checked the area, no police assistance needed.
- 3:04 am, Information, Location Redacted. Contact with person from out of state needing assistance, potential mental health concerns.
Daily Blotter for May 5th 2025
- 1:14 pm, Theft/Larceny, Residence Hall. Contacted person regarding theft of items on May 4th that they took from Residence Hall laundry room. Person will be cited for UWS18.12(6)(b) and will return stolen clothing to owner later today.
- 6:57 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Hospital Security requested UWPD to take possession of the property belonging to patient that involved items that needed to be safely and securely stored until patient was able to obtain them once released from the hospital.
- 8:02 pm, Found Property, UWPD 1429 Monroe Street. Found property is a black phone and unable to identify owner. Packaged phone and submitted to evidence.
- 12:02 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Orchard and Regent Streets. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for OWI 2nd after emergent request from MFD for intoxicated driver.
- 2:58 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 6. Contacted person after they reported their vehicle was hit while parked in Lot 6 unoccupied causing minor damage to the rear passenger side.

- 11:36 am, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union/Hoofers Dock. Contacted person regarding phone who advised they set their purple backpack down between the upside-down white boats and went out on a boat for about an hour, returned and backpack had been gone through and items had been stolen.
- 2:12 pm, Other, Lot 83. K9 Deployment - K9 Ritter checked suspicious Styrofoam cooler left on hood of vehicle in Lot 83. No positive alert, cooler was empty.
- 6:09 pm, Extortion, Location Redacted. Contacted person who reported being contacted by an unknown individual from Instagram account. sent person photos and personal information and was then being extorted for money.
- 11:04 pm, Bail Jumping, Johnson & Carroll Streets. Stopped/Cited person for Operating While Revoked (Forfeiture 4th+) and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Passenger legally drove vehicle away.
- 11:18 pm, Other, Highland Ave & VA Hospital. Stopped/Verbally Warned person for no tail lights and vehicle not in “auto lights mode”.
- 1:55 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person who was stumbling down the sidewalk near downtown parking ramp, not able to answer basic questions and transported to detox/released without incident.
