At the start of the fall semester, UWPD released a new community safety video for viewing in classrooms during the first week of school. Entitled ‘Active Threat Response: Classroom Training’, the six-minute video covers key points related to active attacks and other dangerous situations.
The video production was sparked by requests from faculty and others who wanted a short-format way to provide basic safety information to their classes and other groups.
As useful and informative as the video is, it should not be considered a replacement for UWPD’s full Active Threat Response Training offered through the department’s Emergency Management unit.
