Former Vice President Joe Biden will appear at a campaign event on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Tickets are required for the event, which is organized by the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. The event is being held at Gordon Dining & Events Center from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. — doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Candidates set to appear include Sen. Tammy Baldwin, gubernatorial candidate Tony Evers, and lieutenant governor candidate Mandela Barnes.
The UW-Madison Police Department will be strictly enforcing a no bag policy — all bags (backpacks, purses, fanny packs, etc.) will be prohibited from the event. Bag storage will not be available and no exceptions will be made. Food/drink carry-ins are also prohibited. In addition, those attending the event will be subject to airport-type security screening.
Media wishing to cover the event: media parking will be available on the basketball courts adjacent to Sellery Hall and Gordon Dining & Event Center. Media should enter Gordon using the west doors, and use the staircase or elevator to access the second floor. All media personnel will be subject to security screening.
